Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Ministry in Shambles as Employee Sends Poison to Office.

Arrabella Fletcher, aged 36, was taken to St Mungo's yesterday after opening a envelope that contained a large amount of Bubotuber Pus; a poison which when it touches skin creates instantaneous boils. Her office, the Departement of Magical Games and Sports, has been shut off while aurors and members of the Department of Law Enforcement scan the scene for clues that could lead them to the culprit.

Enforcement officers suspect the poison was either sent in relation to one of two big issues; the offer of peace with Lichtenstein or the upcoming Quidditch World Cup which is to take place at the end of the current Quidditch Season in Australia. Quidditch World Cups are known for their heightened security measures. Mrs. Fletcher was working on both projects but focusing moreso on the upcoming World Cup.

Crime on the Rise in Britian

A recent crime wave in the wizarding community has caused alarm among many citizens; with nearly 30 break ins in as many days. Causing further alarm is the apparent use of dark magic to force entry to homes, even attacks on residents who interrupted the invasions. Tobias Grimley of Kent is one such victim, "I came out into the Kitchen to get a midnight snack and was struck with an entrails expelling curse. The smell totally ruined my appetite! Plus they stole the fridge so I went hungry!"

One such break in saw a valuable artifact disappears: a cloak once belonging to Godric Gryffindor himself. The cloak was estimated to be worth over a million galleons. The thieves have been targeting gold, jewelry, artifacts and items of obvious magical power.

The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is investigating the intrusions and asking for anyone with information to contact the Ministry. They advise that under no circumstances should the individuals be approached as they have shown no regard for human life previously and are considered extremely dangerous.

Mysterious Individual Spotted near Hogsmeade

A mysterious individual dressed entirely in black has been seen lurking around the town of Hogsmeade, with locals unsure of the person's identity, gender or even age. The person is suspected to be connected to a break in of the Three Broomsticks pub. The pub's owner, Madam Rosmerta aged 45, discovered the break in early the following morning. "The pub had been ransacked! Nothing was taken but it was obvious they were looking for something. Nothing was left unsearched."

The individual has also been seen creeping around the walls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Headmaster Bedelia Belleford has assured the community that all students are entirely safe and protected. She is quoted as saying, "Hogwarts is protected by magic as old as wizard kind itself. We take the safety of students very seriously and no harm will come to a student's head as long as I am Headmistress."

Calls have risen from Hogsmeade residents for the Ministry to search out this mysterious lurker and ensure he is kept away from the town and Hogwarts.

Round 2 Wrap Up

In Round 2 action there were some exciting games played. None however, more exciting as the finish in the game between the Bangers and the Kestrals. The Bangers having won their first game of the season against the Bats by a catch of the Snitch, were expected to beat the Kestrals whom had lost to in form Cannons in the first round. However, the Kestrals got off to a flying start through the he;lp of their chasers Danton and Robespierre. They quickly shot out to a 50 point lead before the Bangers started getting some serious points on the board. Twice the game looked to never finish as the teams were too involved in beating each other up rather then on the Snitch and Quaffle. The lead was cut to within 20 points when Kewell scored his 1st goal for the match before the Kestrals pulled away.

Once again Robespierre and Danton were damaging executing perfect moves on their way to the hoops and looking to guilloteen the Bangers hopes at winning the game. The Kestralos managed to extend a lead to 160 points at 220 to 40 and the game looked finished however Kewell and Blackfeather managed to score a goal each bringing the margain back within 150 points when Lightfoot caught the snitch to give the Bangers a 10 point win. 230-220.

In other results the Cannons continued their first round domination with a second round thumping of the Wasps. The Bats turned their first round disapointing effort into a good win in the second. Other winners were the Catapults, Tornados, Falcons and Harpies.
