Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Deputy Headmaster & Transfiguration Professor Posts: 768 Group: Ravenclaw Head of House Member #122 Joined: Mar 20 2007	Nate paused as he could now see their target; Danka Tirisfal had heard them approaching and has risen in caution. He noted that eh held the ring in his hand but didn't have it on. There was still hope yet! He turned and whispered to Julian, "Stay here." He walked forward ever so quietly, his feet barely making a sound as they fell. Once he reached striking distance of Danka he took careful aim. He had only one chance to successfully remove the ring from his grasp otherwise he would put it on and be unbeatable. He took a deep breath to steady himself and thought, Expelliarmus! The spell burst from his wandtip and shot towards Danka.

Intruder Posts: 41 Group: Unknown Member #143 Joined: May 26 2007	He had been looking across his shoulder to his left and had not been prepared for the possibility of a wizard attack. He had assumed it was a creature of some kind that had penetrated his defenses and so the Disarming Charm struck his hand without so much as a lift of a finger to stop it. However, to his surprise his wand reamined in his grasp but the ring! the precious ring flew from his grasp and into his attacker's hand. "Who are you? How have you come to find me here? Answer me or face death at my wand!" He was furious with rage at having been successfully found and removed of his goal.

He stepped through the shrubbery and emerged into the lamplight of the encampment. "Hello, Mr Tirisfal," he said, a serious tone to his voice.

Meddler in people's affairs, putting his wand into places where it doesn't concern him. And why does my little jaunt into Hogwarts concern you? I have what I want and have left. And I have no intention of going back."

Aside from the fact that you attacked an innocent student of eleven years old with the Cruciatus Curse, I am now a Professor at Hogwarts. By attacking a student you made it inevitable that we would meet." He stepped further into the make-shift arean that was being accidentally created by the flickering lights and the natural ring of trees. He preyed Julian would remain hidden while whatever would happen took place.

The jet of black light shot at Aphelion, the speed at which it was cast impossible to deflect.

With near impossible speed, resulting from his earlier cast Speed and Agility Enhancer, he conjured a magical mirror, designed to rebound the spell onto its caster. The spell struck the mirror with a haunting scream and immediately shot back towards Danka.

He stepped aside and allowed it to strike a tree whereupon it burst into flames. He attempted again to eliminate Aphelion with his specialty, the Entrail Expelling Curse.

Remembering what the man before him had done to so many innocent others ignited a burning desire to bring this man to justice, if only to stop him from harming anyone else. His dueling took on a new intensity, his wand becoming a blur, indistinguishable jets of light bursting from his wand without pause as he fired spell after spell.

Sixth Year Posts: 1,113 Group: Slytherin Member #135 Joined: May 8 2007	Julian watched in awe as the two wizards dueled at a furious pace, casting and blocking spells as fast as the eye could see. Both seemed unable to get in under the guard of the other. On the odd chance one did land a hit, they had repaired the damage instantly and cast three of their own in retaliation. Both were quite athletic as well, running, dodging, weaving, anything to avoid being hit by the deadly barrage of spells.

The spell caught his wand hand and caused his wand to fly off into the bushes, leaving him completely defenseless. He rested his arms beside him, "So? You win, Nate." With lightning speed he swung a concealed knife towards his throat, hoping to end it before giving Nate the satisfaction of capturing him.

With inches to spare the spell caused the knife to join its owner's wand off in the forest. He placed a body bind on Danka and walked over to where he lay. "You'll be taken by the Ministry and sent to Azkaban. All for the sake of a ring." he turned and called over his shoulder, "Julian. You can come out now." He still cradled the ring in his fingers from when he had obtained it from Danka before their fight.

He was glad he still remained invisible because his face would have shown inexplicable hatred for the man lying motionless on the ground. He composed his face as he knew the Professor would lift the enchantments in a moment, now that the man was no longer a threat.

He flicked his wand at the boy and immediately he appeared, his face impossible to read. "We're going to take him up to the castle and hand him over to the Ministry. He's going to rot in Azkaban. That is your revenge, Julian. You need not worry about him anymore."

He stood motionless for several seconds then in a fluid motion snatched the ring from Aphelion's fingers and drew his wand, pointing it at Danka. The ring gleamed upon his wand hand and now that he knew what it was, he could feel the power of the ring imbuing him with its ability.

Deputy Headmaster & Transfiguration Professor Posts: 768 Group: Ravenclaw Head of House Member #122 Joined: Mar 20 2007	Nate had not expected the act from Julian and so was caught offguard as the ring was taken from his grasp. he drew his own wand and pointed it at Julian. "Take the ring off, Julian. You don't want to do this. He's captured, he can't hurt you anymore." He now had reason to be cautious of Julian. Though an underage wizard, the power of the ring made him at least a qualified wizard at minimum. Theoretically, he could now be as powerful as Nate. He waited for the opportune moment to disarm the boy and remove the ring from him.

He knew what was coming, had known it as soon as he had seen the boy appear from thin air. The boy would want revenge for what he had done to him. He prepared himself for unbearable pain.
