Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

Hellius slowly strolled out to the grounds wanting to get some time to himself. He felt the cold, brisk wind blow onto his face. It felt relaxing. He found a nice spot out near the lake where he then sat at. Gazing out into the huge body of water he drifted off. Remembering what he had done in his history he smirked. All he had done; all the people he had injured; all the trust and hearts he had broken. It made him happy; all of it.

Hellius laid back onto the sand and dirt and watched the clouds in the sky.

Mascacra walked slowly onto the grounds, her eye lids low, but was scanning the grounds of Hogwarts.

You must redeem yourself for what you have done....

She saw a boy there and smirked. She remembered him.

Oh..yes.....he's the one who didn't rat me out.....

She walked closer and wondered if he found out she was there. She stood under the shades of the trees.

Hellius had been running the past year through his mind. The 2 people he had attacked and almost killed. The woman he tried to chop through with hedge clippers, and the kid he almost eviscerated with a butter knife. This was continuing to make him smirk. Hellius sat up and glancing around. He swore he saw the form of someone in the trees.

Interesting...

He looked back to the lake, pretending not to notice the person.

Guess he didn't.....not all people have sharp attention span...

She walked closer and thought about where his eyes were fixed on. They were on the lake.

Have to admit this is a relaxing place.....Lakes are like rivers....

She remembered poor Rebecca as she surrendered to giving away her life to the waters. She had that doll in her bookbag. She didn't take it out though. Not knowing if she would make herself known, she waited to see what the boy would do next.

Still looking out on the water, Hellius now ignored whether if someone came up behind him or not. He was now relaxed. When he was relaxed, he didn't give a crap either way if died right at that second. Shaking his head slightly, Hellius dug into his pocket and pulled out his picture. He began staring at it; his eyes focussed so tightly that he couldn't see anything else around the photo.

Mascacra stepped out and was now a few feet away from him. She saw he was holding a picture. She squinted, but she didn't see what was in it.

Hmmm...... I may just have to do some research

She walked closer as quiet as she could, leaning over to try to decipher what the picture was.

Hellius heard footsteps. His eyes moved and his ear twitched, but he didn't look back at where he heard the sound. He wanted to know who the person was and what they wanted, but he waited. Hellius looked back at the picture and he began to think of his life before his father died. A tear came to his right eye and it fell onto his photo. He quickly wiped it away. Hellius kept the photo out and the gazed back onto the lake again.

Mascacra saw the boy tear a drop and quickly wipe it away. She couldn't help but feel some light sympathy, but a shiver up her spine told her otherwise.

What do I do, now? I can't attenpt to attack.....we're even.

She looked at the boy's head with dark eyes and just sat down, fiddling with her velvet box and collecting her thoughts.

This sure feels tranquil.

Hellius sniffed and looked back when he heard a slight rustle of leaves. He blinked one long blink and then looked back at the lake. He rubbed his eyes and poked around at grass next to him.

"Hi," Hellius acknowledged quietly. The sound of pain lingered through his voice.

Strangely, Hellius had no urge to kill this girl. It was a strange thing to Hellius..... he hadn't felt this no hate feeling towards someone in a long time.

Mascacra's eyes shown softness towards this boy. She felt bad that suffering could come so far in his voice.

What ever happened to him....I wonder....

She looked at him, sighing lightly.

"Hi..."

She stared at her box again, still lost from the dream she had.

Hellius continued to sit quietly, now ignoring whether the fact if Mascacra wanted something. If she did, then she should say something. Looking down at his picture and then back up at the lake again, Hellius got lost into his thoughts and mind. Going back to the time before he was a violent son of a gun, he remembered his trip to Virginia where he visited his family. They all mocked him.

They....will all die some day...

Mascacra finally decided to say something.

Tis getting quiet....The lake ....tis a clear blue....where the dangerous deep is...

"I'm wondering....what are you doing here...all alone....it's dangerous....who knows what can happen....I'm not counting that over there...."

She gestured to unseensly John.

"Now, we aren't counting dung, as individuals, are we?"

Mascacra smirked lightly then glanced at his photo again, she looked away and off to the lake.

Hellius smirked slightly, but his face quickly turned back into a frown.

"No, I suppose not," Hellius announced quietly, "and I am out here all alone.... because it's quiet, I can relax, and no one is around."

Hellius paused for a few moments before speaking up yet again.

"Personally," he continued quietly and calmly, "I really don't give a care if someone attacks me. If someone gives me an excuse, then I attack. Like Liam, for an example. He pulled out his wand, threatened it on someone, and then I attacked him. Would have killed him, and the rest of that group that was there when the fight started if the teachers didn't interfere."

Mascacra nodded at Hellius' comment on the lake.

"Quite understandable. Quiet is better than noise anyway....unless they're screams of agony, of course."

Her eyes glittered at the thought and heard him say about what he thought.

"Professors....I have no respect at all...unless they understand the importance of respect to people who deserve to live."

Hellius nodded slowly and wryly. Mascacra was speaking in a total language that he understood.... which was a first.... for anyone.

This girl....

"No kidding," Hellius hissed. He was still looking out at the lake the whole time he did this. "so.... what happened last night? In the bathroom? I...understand if you don't wish to tell me."

She rubbed her hands together. She looked around if anyone was there and spoke in a low voice to him, telling the story.

"Well unfortunately...this Gryffindor girl was sleepwalking and almost drowned herself....two people came to help her and that's when I came in. I was sad because they should have just left her there in the water in Myrtles Bathroom...One less pitiful person to ignore, you know?"

She smirked again and sighed, continued.

"Then they asked me what I was doing there and I asked if it was such a crime to come into a bathroom to see what was happening there. They didn't respect me. They began saying how much I had been a total "creep". One of them....the last time I saw...had a broken wrist....I guess she's pretty upset that I made it hurt more than it should have..."

She smiled, fiddling with the box.

"So....they underestimated me. I put my robe on the floor and started to put it in flames...So the people could burn away with the material on the underside....the professor came in, and I had explain myself....grudgingly."

She nodded.

Hellius nodded. That wasn't what he exactly had meant by 'what had happened' but it would work for an answer. He looked back at his photo, out to the lake, and then back to Mascacra. Hellius saw her fiddling with a box in her hand. Lifting himself off the ground, he turned himself so he was facing her while continuing to sit on the ground.

"As I was exiting.... I heard some of your conversation between the professor...," Hellius moaned quietly, cutting himself off to allow Mascacra to fill in the blanks. Hellius looked at her in the eyes, and he then looked down at the box, then to John.

Mascacra looked back, looking a bit pale.

"Well, I was telling the truth....I don't want to land myself a detention....but I don't want the professors watching me like a hawk as much as my parents do. But I somehow appreciate that....they'll punish whoever put in me such...."danger" or "ridiculousness" as they would say"

She gripped the box tightly, knuckles getting white as seconds passed. Her eyes staring at the lake as she had done so.
