Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Fourth Year Posts: 662 Group: Slytherin Member #12 Joined: Jan 2 2007	Glowing with joy from McDonald's praise Natalie gave a swish with her wand and the feather floated gently off the table. Her heart was thumping with excitment but she refused to break the mental connection she shared with the feather. She concentrated even harder to keep the feather aloft. She found that it was like balancing, she had to apply the right amount of pressure to keep the feather from either flying away or coming back down to earth. The feather soared consistently higher until it almost reached the ceiling, and then Nat broke concentration and let it float gently back down. She turned to John who was beaming from his own sucsess and said, "did you see!"

She shrugged it off, maybe the next time, now for the task at hand; the feather. Addie began with the hand movement. Swish and flick, swish and flick, swish and flick. Wingardium Leviosa. Wingaaaardium Leviosa. I think that's right... That's how mum says it, pronounce the a. Addie nodded to herself, ignoring everyone else in the room for the moment and concentrating on the task at hand. "Wingardium Leviosa." She said confidently. The feather remained on the desk, although it almost seemed to twitch, as though about to jump into the air in a second. Right then, bet I have the movement a bit off. Addie thought and focused on the feather, making sure she wasn't holding her wand too tightly, or too loosely, the girl tried again. "Wingardium Leviosa." She stated, gazing at the feather; this time it fluttered somewhat, adjusting her grip on her wand Addie tried again, this time pleasantly surprised to see herself succeed with the spell. The feather floated up into the air with the movement of her wand. Addie focused on it, wanting to keep it up as long as she could.

I wouldn't want to come across him like that. Seems he does have a temper after all" said John. "Nat, wake up" John said. John waved his hand in front of Nat's face. "You were ogling professor McDonald weren't you? Aha, come off it your a student he is a professor. It'd never work unless you spiked his pumpkin juice with love potion or something" John said laughing at the idea of Nat spiking the professors drink with love potion and them taking walks around Hogwarts with their arms entwined.

He waved his wand again and said "Wingardium Leviosa", nothing happened, he tried it again, it nudged abit but nothing els happened, he tried one more time it lifted about an inch and then fluttered down. "I did it!" Sam said cheerfully. He did it again to see if he could do it again, this time it quickly shot at him, embedding its self in the wall behind him nearly missing his right ear.

He still didn't feel comfortable about saying spells out loud, as most of them sounded pretty stupid to him. Just do it, idiot. Dave waved his wand, flicked it gently, and said the incantation. "Wingardium leviosa," he droned. Unsurprisingly, the feather remained limp. They're laughing at you, muggle, a voice in the back of Dave's head said to him. Simple magic, and you can't even do it. "Grr...," Dave said under his voice. "Wingardium leviosa!" he said clearly, while swishing his wand in the correct motion. At first, nothing happened, but when Dave's wrist twitched and his wand moved, the feather followed its tip. Slowly, he moved his wand up a bit, and the feather followed suit, but began to droop as he raised it higher, until finally, it slipped back onto the desk. Dave took a deep breath. "Yes!" Dave exclaimed.

She got an evil look of her face that was seldom a good thing. "And, since he's gone, I can do this!" She swept her wand in a huge sweeping motion while shouting, "Wingardium Leviosa." At first she aimed for John hoping to levitate him like the professor had done, but she changed her mind in a split second after thinking that she was no where near competant enough to levitate a human. Instead she hit his book bag and floated it up just above his reach. Natalie giggled madly, happy to have gotten John back for his snide comment, and also dizzy with her own power. ooc again: please don't kill me if you see this McDonald- I've already gotten in trouble, plus RPing would be boring without some rulebreaking.

Hers just twitched slightly once and that was it. But now that the professor was gone, she had stopped at once. She watched as Nat dangled John's bag over his head with the spell and then levitated it back down to the floor. "You've really gotten in, Nat," She commented with a little playful wink. "Professor McDonald is going to be so impressed."
	It is a sin to believe evil of others, but it is seldom a mistake.
