Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Ophelia had no clue what they were doing she practicaly slept in for almost half the day! her stupid sister Robby could now where be found. She took her seat near a corner staring at the teacher with no emotion trying not to act like she didnt know what to do. OOC: Gar, late. ><

She turned away to look at the professor, "besides Prof. McDonald is head of Hufflepuff not a hufflepuff himself." Suddenly she fixed John with a stern look, "Why do you care so much anyway, you're not jelous, are you?" She grinned with anticipation, sure that John would become flustered at that comment.

"Who says I'm jealouse? I'm not jealouse. Of who the professor? I mean sure he's cool but" John found nothing to say. "I'm sure he's really vain or arrogant or something" John said content with the fact that the professor must have a fault.

If you come in just pretend you came in on time. It's just easier that way. Bic: The professor said "looks like people are here. Time to begin the class. So welcome to charms. By our fun little introduction you can see that magic can be fun. The first spell you shall be learning is Wingardium Leviosa and one boy has felt first hand what that is like. So I'm going to hand around a feather and you will try to make it float. The incantation is Wingardium Leviosa and the wand movement is a swish and a flick" the professor explained handing out the feathers. "Watch me for a second" the professor said calling the students to his attention. "Wingardium Leviosa" the professor said swishing the feather high in the air. "Now your turn" the professor said turning to walk around the class.

Natalie grinned. He really was flustered, and now he was insulting the professor! "You don't want him to hear you say that, he'd might charm you into a pumpkin or something." Natalie reckoned he was a bit jealous, in the way any eleven year old would be if his friend was going on about how wonderful someone else was. "I guess Prof. McDonald is too old for me," she conceded, "so I'm stuck with school boys." She gave John a wry grin. She sat back quietly when she heard McDonald beginning class. When he began to walk around to assess their progress she concentrated hard on the feather in front of her. She couldn't wait to prove herself.

"Wingerdium Leviosa" John said but nothing happened. He kept on trying but still nothing happened. He decided to wait so the teacher could help him.

He then discovered the window was open and there was a slight draft. The professor closed the window and turned back to the student. "That was good can you try it again?" the professor said. Ooc: Your a first year, you aren't supposed to be able to do it straight away. Sorry for bursting your bubble.

She decided to hold the wand lightly, like a paint brush and said the incantation. The feather didn't rise but she thought that she saw it move. She concentrated fiercely on her task and kept trying.

Sam took his want and tried to copy the professor's movement as best as he could "Wingardium Leviosa" he said out loud. The feather quickly shot out into the middle of the room and slowly fluttered down. "well at-least it went further" he said to James

"Wingardium Leviosa" John said really wanting it to move. John saw the feather fly, given it was only a small height but it was height none the less. John turned towards the professor to see that the professor was on his way over to John and had stopped abruptly after seeing the feather go into the air. "I did it" John said nudging Nat hard.

"You have clearly been putting a lot of effort into this class and it is nice to see that. 5 points to each of you, I shall be expecting more of the same in future lessons as well" the professor said seeing the shock on Natalie and James' faces. "The rest of you keep trying, never give up and always believe in yourself" the professor said with a smile.

John turned and saw that Professor Bimdell was standing at the door. "Uhm Professor McDonald, Professor Bimdell is at the door and I think he wants to talk to you" said John a little worried. I hope the professor isn't in trouble or anything John nudged Nat to get her attention and pointed to Professor Bimdell.
