Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? First Year Posts: 93 Group: Ravenclaw Member #6 Joined: Jan 2 2007	Gary has entered the Charms Classroom Gary sat down at one of the desks in the room and waited for more people to come in. "It's empty in here," he said. He opened his spell book and started practicing shooting off sparks with his wand while he waited for more people to come in.
	My favorite Latin to English translation: Equus in via est. Meaning: There is a horse in the street.

With a quick look around he spotted another first year boy in Ravenclaw. "Hello, my name is John don't know if we've been introduced yet. My friends call me Dutchy though. Whats your name?" John asked still looking around for the other first years who he had sworn had left before him and the professor.

The professor said to the two students infront of him. "So, what did you guys have before this?" said the professor looking to get to know the kids better before the lesson.

In her haste she bumped into professor McDonald who was talking to Gary and John. "I'm so sorry professor" she said with a charming smile while playing with a piece of of her hair. She went past him, flicking her hair over her shoulder as she went. Natalie didn't mean to act flirtatious, it was just something that came to her naturally. She took a seat in the front of the class, near enough to the boys so she could talk to them.

"Your name is?" asked the professor to the girl who had bumped into him and then he proceeded to flash her one of his trademark smiles with a wink.

"I'm so excited for charms professor, they're by far my favorite subject" she gave an adorable pout, "I need a pick-me-up too, as I've had an awful day."

Nat made a mournful face, "I got detention with Prof. Bimdell over a slight misunderstanding." She walked back to her seat throwing a coy grin over her shoulder, "But I think the day'll get better from here." Natalie sat near John and heard him laughingly tease her about pretending to faint. "No, but I was thinking of pretending to drown in the lake after lunch, do you think that's too much?" Nat responded quickly. Nat sat down next to John, but instead of leaning back carelessly like she had in Transfig. she sat up straight and arranged her hair around her shoulders so it looked perfect.

John said laughing at Nat and the fact that she had already landed herself a detention. "I reckon she'll have fun though, what do you reckon you'll be doing Nat? I can only imagine" John said rubbing his hands together in mock glee and laughing at Nat's misfortunes.

A word to the wise though, try avoiding having to cross Hovially's, I mean Professor Bimdell's, path as he is very strict. Me on the other hand tend to discourage serious trouble making but as long as you participate and work hard you might enjoy charms" said the professor laughing.

" If you don't mind me saying sir, I think I'll prefer your teaching methods, they seem much less....intimidating, which seems to be Bimdell's strong suit." She then turned sharply to John who was still giggling about her misfortunes. "You better behave yourself Mr. Holland, or I'll tell Prof. Bimdell that it was you who mistook him for a woman." With a saucy wink, she turned her attention back to Professor McDonald.

She is not somebody I would be looking to mess with" the professor now laughing quiet openly and loudly. "So anyone know any charms they would like to show off before the others get here or would you like me to show you the wonders of charms?" The professor throwing a suggestion into the air.

Sam looked up at the professor after he asked his question. "oo can i show off the incindeo charm, i have had allot of practice with it before i cam to school," he quickly asked.

"The incendio charm for those who do not know of it creates fire" the professor place a log of wood down on the ground infront of the student. "Off you go then" the professor said wand at the ready.

He took out his want and aimed it carefully at the log, "INCENDIO!" he shouted. instantly a brilliant blue flam shot out of his wand quickly turning the log into a pile of ash and cinders

"Aguamenti" the professor said shooting clear blue water at the flames extinguishing them. "Impressive your aim is a little off as you can see you have left scorch marks on the floor but it was an impressive display" the professor said twirling his wand in his hands. Before the student was ready the professor clutched his wand and yelled "Wingardium Leviosa" to send the boy floating in the air. The professor then turned the attention to the class. "Be weary of volunteering in my class room, however impressive it was it also gave me a chance to show off to you the first spell you will be learning" the professor said slowly floating the boy back to the ground safely.
