Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Wendy Dolington; Student
Topic Started: Jan 5 2007, 08:58:18 PM (238 Views)
Wendy Dolington
First Year

Full name: Wendy Kathleen Faith Dolington
Nickname(s): Just Wendy.
Gender: Female.
Birthdate: August 27th
Age: If you're only accepting 1st years, then 11. But if you're accepting different years, 15, 5th year.
Blood: Halfblood. Father is pureblood, as most of his family has been for decades. Her mother is a witch, but just barely, for her great grandmother is a muggle. Something that Wendy has no idea about, nor really cares to know.
Wand: 13 inches, Willow wood, Veela hair
Preferred House: Slytherin.

Appearance:
Height: 5'9"
Eyes: Big dark chocolately brown
Hair: Blonde with naturally dark streaks. Down past shoulders. Usually worn straight for the most part with slight waves through the ends.

Physical Description: Pale complexion with the occasional freckle on her arms and face. She is tall and lean. She is known to be attractive to the opposite sex and has become cocky because of it. She is thin, too thin for her liking. She is very protective of her small stomach and afraid of the fact that her hands are boney. She has a chicken pox scar above her right eye from when she was four years old and had a nasty bit of poxs. When not in robes, she wears comfy but flattering clothes. Mostly plain t-shirts and jeans beneath her home wizard robes.

Personality:
She is extremely high-headed. She thinks bragging about herself is a way to make people like her more. Really, she is just insecure about herself and needs the attention of others. She is brutally honest to others, however. She doesn't mind telling someone that "Yes, those pants do make your butt look big" and that they are "getting on her last nerve." Sarcasm is her tool of choice. She uses it against anyone that gets on her last nerve or anyone she sees unworthy of her time. However, when wanting to charm someone, she'll turn it off and speak softly with a gentle edge. Something she uses with boys a lot of time. Of course, this doesn't work everytime and when it doesn't, she becomes angry not only with the other person but with herself.

History:
Her parents met through their parents. Both families were close since their dads both worked together. I guess you could say that the families pushed the young couple together when they were teenagers, not making for the greatest relationship. They did marry, however. For they realized it was their duty to bring the two families together. And for that reason, James Dolington and Kathleen Dolington don't have the greatest marriage. Wendy doesn't even like to call it a marriage at all. More like "putting up" with each other. Her mother sleeps in one room while her father sleeps in another (if he sleeps there at all). But only growing up around this, Wendy has no idea that this is not what love is suppose to be. To her, it is normal.

Other than anything like that, she lived a basically normal childhood. Being closer to her mother, she soon became a girly girl with lots of things. Her mother spoiled her to death and kept her very close for fear of loosing her little girl. The two are very much alike.

Her first signs of magic was when she was six years old. She was angry at her mother for punishing her when she broke a very vaulable vase. She was sitting on the stairs listening to her mother tell her father what had happened during the day. Like any six year old in trouble, she sat there with tears straining down her faces, hoping her mother would just shut up. She just knew that if her father knew, it would make it that much worse. Soon, her mother wasn't talking at all, just lipping the words. After figuring out how to get her mother's voice back, her parents were pleasantly suprised with her.

Family: As said above, her parents are Kathleen and James Dolington. Even though she isn't as close to her father as she is her mother, she doesn't hate her father or know that her parents weird relationship is anything abnormal. She has no siblings. Her mother asked her once if she would like one and she had just chuckled and said "No." The only grandparent she has left is Grandpa Tillington, which is her father's father. Her grandpa loves her to death and spoils her just as much if not more than her mother. She also has two uncles, her mother's brother and father's brother. She has cousins as well, but has never been close to them.

Pet(s): A black owl named Miz.
Possessions: She only has one photo of her parents from when they first started dating. They are sitting on a bench together, hands clasped together, awkwardly. She also has a broom that her Grandfather bought her. But she's not the best at Quidditch or broom-riding.

How did you come about this site? Puddifoot's Top Sites

Do you have any previous roleplaying experience? I've been roleplaying for about 4 years now. I haven't done a forum roleplay for quite sometime but I'm really excited to get back to it. I've roleplayed Harry Potter mostly, future, past, and present. I've done a lot of journal roleplays but they just don't seem to match up to ones like this.

Sample: (I'm just gonna use one of my old ones if that's alright )
"He shoots!" A Bertie Bott Every Flavor bean soared from Shawn's hands and into my mouth as we sat at the Gryffindor table during lunch. "He scores!" I chewed on the candy, a disgusting taste spreading through my mouth. Seems that it was a roasted marshmellow as Shawn had promised. I nearly vomited, grabbing the nearest napkin and spitting it out as Shawn laughed along with Xzavier, who had come over from the Slytherin table to spend lunch with us, as was custom. Shawn and him were both sitting across from me.

"That is so not funny!" I told them, whipping my tongue with the edge of the napkin, hoping the overwhelming feeling of vomiting would cease soon. Shawn nearly fell off the bench from laughing as I grabbed for my goblet and drank about a quart of pumpkin juice. "What the hell was that?!"

"What do you think? Vomit!" Xzavier laughed at me. Just the word almost sent me over the edge. My goblet was now empty so I reached for Shawn's and gulped it down, quickly.

"Hey! That's mine!" He laughed. Having drank the whole thing, I brought it back down onto the table. The taste was finally gone.

"I hate you guys, you know that, right?" I told them, picking up an apple and biting into it.

"We know," Shawn responded. Of course, that was far from the truth. These guys were the best friends anyone could have? But would I ever tell them that? No. I couldn't remember a time when they hadn't been around. Me and Shawn were the oldest of the group but I could barely remember a time when Xzavier or any of the girls hadn't been around. We were definately a tight group. Something that I was sure would never change.

"Hey, I've got this brilliant idea for a prank," Xzavier began. Immediately two heads lowered to listened. "But we can't tell our sisters, okay? They'd have a cow. And we're going to have to get our hands on a time-" But he was caught short as Melodie, Serenity, and Elizabeth joined us.

"James, would you please tell the leader of your fan club that I no longer wish her to follow me through the halls, asking questions about you? It's driving me absolutely insane," She said as she dropped down next to me. I rolled my eyes, whipping a hand through my hair in a cocky manner.

Yes, I do have a bunch of girls trailing after me constantly. What can I say? I'm one hell of a good looking lad.

Finally, the ultimate question. Your answer?
Wow, such a difficult question. Probably something I could do on people I don't like. So I'm gonna go with the full-body bind.
It is a sin to believe evil of others, but it is seldom a mistake.
