The corridors between the rooms of the main floor. Includes the hallways, as well as the broom cupboard.

The entrance hall, the first room past Hogwarts' front doors. Acts as a link between the great hall, the main floor corridors, and the various staircases leading up and down.

The great hall, where food is served at the house tables three times daily. Often used for special events.

The courtyard, which is a walled-in patch of grass and trees within the main floor. Good for lounging in between classes.

The staff room, which is located off a hallway on the ground floor. This is where staff can congregate without the presence of students.

An unused and empty classroom that resides on the ground floor. Usually unchecked by teachers.

Divination is taught by the Hogwarts Gamekeeper, an exiled centaur named Bannishtar. As he is unable to teach in the usual Divination Tower, an appropriate classroom was arranged on the Ground Floor for his needs.

The office of Transfiguration Professor, Halcyon Emily Hicks, is a disorderly sort of mess. Books line the walls with no apparent rhyme or reason to their order. A messy desk, stacked to the brim with unsorted papers, is placed near the door with a few comfortable looking arm chairs for those looking for a conversation.

The corridors and hallways between the rooms of the second floor. Includes generic hallways, as well as the seemingly empty corridor, which leads to the Headmaster's office.

Students may duel in this room as the magical protection placed on the room ensures no student may come to harm. The room is suitable for solo duelists, one-on-one, or groups. Play nice, now!

The office of the Headmistress of Hogwarts, Professor Bidelia Belleford. Hidden behind the statue of a gargoyle, the Headmistress' office is accessed via a deserted corridor on the second floor. Trouble makers would do well to beware of the boggart, hidden in the cabinet beside her desk.

A seemingly normal girls' bathroom, which is labelled as out of order. Inhabited by Moaning Myrtle, a young, grievous ghost who enjoys crying and whining. Rarely used as a bathroom, and rarely ever checked by teachers.

A classroom used for the subject of Defence Against the Dark Arts. DADA is taught by Officer Baker, an Auror and former temporary Head of MLE.

The corridors of the third floor. Contains the statue which conceals a secret passage to Hogsmeade, the armor gallery, the staircase to the top of the astronomy tower, and the charms corridor.

Contains walls and walls of trophies, awards, and medals awarded to students and professors of Hogwarts' past. Also contains records of previous Head Boys and Girls. Usually uninhabited and unchecked.

A large room filled with generations of disused or discarded magical items. Many such items have exhausted their magical power, though many still exhibit magical properties. Students should take caution when choosing to enter as not all magic is friendly.

The classroom used for the teaching of magical charms. Charms is now taught by Professor Aria Canton, a prankster gone Professor.

The astronomy tower is the tallest tower at Hogwarts. At the top of the tower, usually at midnight, Astronomy classes are held. This is the highest point of observation in Hogwarts, and grants the user a huge range of sight. Astronomy is taught by Professor Nate Aphelion.

The Hogwarts Library, which has an enormous collection of books. The school's librarian is always happy to help you find the pefect book for all your needs!

The office of Professor Kayanna Kendall, the Care of Magical Creatures Professor. Hidden in a deserted sector of the fourth floor, Professor Cavendash's office is bound to present students with a few wild surprises.

The corridors of the fifth floor, which are mainly deserted, except for the statues of Boris the Bewildered and Gregory the Smarmy.

The owlery is where the students of Hogwarts can keep their postal owls. Also houses several school owls, which can be used by students who do not have an owl of their own.

This secret room has been forgotten since the time of the founders, its existence discovered in an ancient book by Riley Blade. With magical enchantments similar to the Room of Requirement, it requires multiple passwords spoken simultaneously to enter. Unknown to all but a select few.

A special, lavishly decorated bathroom that is exclusive to school prefects. Contains a luxurious bathing area, as well as the conventional things found in a bathroom. Requires a password for entry.

The transfiguration classroom, where the art of transforming and changing physical things is taught. Transfiguration is taught by Professor Nate Aphelion.

The corridors that connect the rooms of the sixth floor.

A comfortable room with numerous lounges, couches, beanbags and chairs, the student lounge is a favorite hangout for most students when they want to mingle with those from other houses.

Magical Concepts is a rewarding class teaching magic from a variety of fields. Skills learned can be used throughout a wizard or witches lifetime. The class is taught by Professor Charles Tortal.

The extensive corridors of the seventh floor. Includes many large paintings, a statue of Lachlan the Lanky, several suits of armor, and a large, moving tapestry, which depicts Barnabas the Barmy and his foolish attempts to train trolls to do ballet.

The Gryffindor Common is located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady on the Seventh floor of the castle. A password is required to gain entry. Keep an eye on the noticeboard for school notices, etc. The common has a window overlooking the grounds of the school and has squashy armchairs ideal for lounging in.

The Ravenclaw common can be found at the top of Ravenclaw Tower, behind a door with an enchanted knocker in the shape of an eagle. This knocker will ask you a question which you must answer correctly to gain access. The common itself has arched windows that offer spectacular views of the school grounds including that of the Quidditch pitch and the lake.

A magical room that is normally hidden, unless a person who is in dire need of something specific comes near. If this happens, the room will transform into whatever is needed by the person, such as a storage facilty, or a bathroom.

The office of Professor Justine Kelly, Hogwarts' flying and physical education professor, located on the seventh floor. Home to many brooms and sports equipment.

The North Tower of Hogwarts, which was the location of the Divination classroom until the centaur, Bannishtar took over the class and moved it downstairs. The area remains mostly deserted, and is a good place for anyone seeking seclusion. It was marked by the Knights of Walpurgis during their attack on the school in 2011 A.D. on a wall within the tower. There burns the shape of a sword, glowing red-hot and scorching to the touch, to this day and forevermore.

The eerie corridors of the dungeons, which are on the school's basement level. Lit by torches, the dungeons are not usually a place of meeting between students.

The Slytherin common room lies behind a concealed entrance in the dungeons. Its windows look out into the depths of the Hogwarts Lake. It is not rare to see the squid swooshing by. The password changes every fortnight. Keep an eye on the noticeboard. The common itself has the aura of a mysterious, underwater shipwreck.

The entrance to the Hufflepuff common room is concealed in a stack of large barrels in a nook on the right hand side of the kitchen corridor. Tap the barrel two from the bottom, middle of the second row, in the rhythm of ‘Helga Hufflepuff’, and the lid will swing open. If you get this wrong you will be doused in vinegar. The common is round, earthy and low-ceilinged. Its circular windows have a view of ripping grass and dandelions.

A cold, dank dungeon, where the study of magical potions and alchemy is ongoing. Contains several large store cupboards, which contain an abundance of alchemical ingredients. Potions is taught by Stephanie McKenna.

The kitchen is where the Hogwarts House Elves work busily on the day's next meal. Any students fortunate enough to know how to enter the kitchen are treated to their heart's desire by the many obedient Elves.

A secret chamber hidden deep within the dungeons of the castle. Within lies a small temple dedicated to the great Salazar Slytherin. Only those worthy may enter.

Millenia ago when Hogwarts was conceived, the four founders placed tremendous magic upon a stone which would act as a core for Hogwarts itself. Deep in the ground, this stone is housed in a chamber from which all Hogwarts magic permeates.

The grounds include everything that is on the Hogwarts property. This includes the lake, the fields around the castle, and anywhere else that is considered outside of the building. The grounds do not include the forbidden forest, the quidditch pitch, or Hogsmeade.

The Quidditch Pitch is where Quidditch practice and matches are held. A large oval with 3 tall hoops at either end, large grandstands surround the perimeter. Team practices and games are held regularly.

The greenhouses where the subject of herbology is taught. The greenhouses are arranged in a complex beside the school, each with its own culture of plants. Most of the greenhouses are suited with many pots, and plenty of soil. Dig in! Herbology is taught by Stanley Peckle.

This massive sailing ship, anchored in the middle of the Black Lake, is home to the delegation from Durmstrang Institute during the Triwizard Tournament. Durmstrang students visiting Hogwarts sleep and take classes here.

A gold and powder blue carriage where in the delegation from Beauxbatons Academy reside during the Triwizard Tournament. In a makeshift pen adjacent to the carriage are the giant winged palominos--the majestic Abraxan horses--which pull the carriage through the air. Beauxbatons students sleep and take classes here.

The Forbidden Forest is, as we all know, forbidden to students. In the forest, many potentially dangerous creatures reside, which generally keeps students at bay. Enter at your own risk.

The village of Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. Founded around same time as Hogwarts, it has been frequented by Hogwarts students since its creation. A picturesque village containing numerous shops to delight every taste. The entire village is now in fear of the Knights of Walpurgis. Several of their marks have been found in many places where murders and other unspeakable acts have been committed. Magical Law Enforcement has passed down strict curfews on all citizens, and the closely regulate the lives of the people "for their safety".

The Ministry of Magic is responsible for ensuring the wizarding world remains a secret from muggles, policing those living in the wizarding world, and ensuring all things magic run smoothly. The Ministry was destroyed in October of 2011 by the Knights of Walpurgis, and now remains naught but wreckage in the plain sight of muggles. Without a Ministry, the wizarding world has since fallen under the rule of Martial Law. A ways away from the sight of the destruction, one can see what his left of Big Ben, a clock tower that now bears a giant burning mark, the signature of the Knights, a sign to all (wizard and muggle alike) that the world will never be the same.

A friendly and cosy bar, Tom the landlord greets all who enter with a smile. Gain access to Diagon Alley through the hidden entrance or stop in for a drink and a tale or two. Here, too, did the Knights of Walpugis strike during their spree of murders in 2010. Their mark, a fiery sword, continues to glow red-hot on a wall in the women's lavatory. Diagon Alley, too, often finds itself locked in covert battle between the Knights of Walpurgis and Magical Law Enforcement. Several more burning marks have appeared on doorways, inside buildings, and alleyways (a sign that something unspeakable has been done to someone by a Knight). One cannot take two steps without bumping into a patrolling MLE agent.

The Hogwarts Express, the train that will take us to our new home. Put away your luggage and grab a compartment as we embark on our magical journey!

An old, dilapidated manor that serves as the hideaway for the Knights of Walpurgis, an (loose) organization of Dark Wizards whose only goal seems to be chaos and the fulfillment of each individual's desires. Still, the Knights fall under the allegiance of but one man, Azariah Amaranth, the Dark Lord, who uses the chaos his Knights create for some yet unknown purpose. Though much of the dimly-lit and darkly furnished manor has gone into disrepair, many of the Knights can be found there on a regular basis, discussing plans or otherwise engaging in acts best left unmentioned. Here, far from the influence of normal society, Knights first receive their masks--their "true faces"--and it is here that they are taught to reject the identities society forces upon them for the sake of "order" and are encouraged to fulfill the darkest of desires that the powers-that-be keep from them.

St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies & Injuries was established back in the late 1500's and is the only wizarding hospital in all of Britain. Located in an abandoned department store in London, the Healers treat all manner of magical injuries and occasionally the odd muggle too.

Far out in the icy waters of the North Sea lies a tiny island that is home to one of the most terrible places on earth: Azkaban, the wizarding prison. Actually, since the dementors--who used to guard the prison, but have since left in the wake of Azariah Amaranth's destruction of the Ministry--are gone, it has become a slightly more pleasant place. Maybe. No one goes near enough to the island to know exactly how Abraxas Kemp and the men of Magical Law Enforcement are running the prison these days--or who exactly they've been sending there.

Receive your edition by owl post and catch up on the latest ministry mishaps, Quidditch scores, Azkaban break-outs and all the latest happenings in the wizarding world. With Charlie Johnson's resignation and subsequent arrest vacation, Magical Law Enforcement has done a complete overhaul of the Prophet staff, making sure that the paper puts their deeds in a more celebratory light than the former editor.

King's Cross Train Station, which is situated in London. Has a series of train platforms, as well as the one we all know best, Platform 9 and 3/4. Walk through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10; just make sure the muggles don't see you!

A rundown and abandoned warehouse, this former thriving harbour has seen better days. And yet despite its fall from glory in nautical circles, the rarely frequented warehouses now attract a more sinister cargo.

The site of the World Cup match of Ireland VS Kenya. A large stadium has been set up on the site, and around it are various camp sites for the spectators.

A plane of existence outside that of the physical world. It is said by some to be the place where all magic originates, and it has been said that the now destroyed veil in the Department of Mysteries was the door to this mysterious location. Vanished objects appear here, and with specific connections to magic, there are some that are even able to step foot into the Magical Realm. The centaurs also speak of a similar place where all minds are connected, known as the Unconscious Domain. Something exists in the place...Something we mortal beings were never meant to know.

When not at Hogwarts, students return home to their families. From the smallest flat to the grandest manor, home is where the heart truly lies.
