![]() I've recently finished Kino's Journey (Kino no Tabi, Kino's Travels) and I have to say it was definately worth the watch. Kino's Journey is a collection of short stories depicting the travels of Kino (hence the name) as she explores the various countries of the world and observes their different cultures. Most episodes start out slow (so I wouldn't suggest it if your attention span is low), but they end with a Twilight zone endings that are sometimes straight out creepy. Like a whole civilization deciding to commit suicide rather than move from their homeland. It's not your average anime in which the characters get over emotional about everything, in fact the main character could be better described as simply a neutral observer. Unlike other anime it's also lacking in random violence, underaged girls with large busts, or anything too far fetched. It's set in a steampunk-ish world where simple robots are plentiful (and a couple of androids), but for the most part things are low tech. Fligth is unheard of, but you got plenty of WW2 tanks running around. Cats, catgirls, and anything feline are absent. |

<__< Pff. It's obvious Kino is just suffering from some mental illness and thinks that her motorrod is capable of speech. Everyone just plays along with her. |

Sakka!!! Had to register and ask you where I may be able to come across Kino (DL?)? Dipping into anime, watching Ghost in the shell, and downloading Claymore http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_in_the_Shell_(film)#Plot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claymore_(manga)#Plot |

>.> *whispers to DK* We've converted another one.. The full season of Kino is for sale at about 30$ if you feel rich enough to purchase it. As for download, I never did find it on download. It's such an old and obscure anime (relatively) that most torrent sites didn't have it. Youtube and Megavideo both have the full season up though if you don't mind streaming much. *cough* And if your dipping into anime I suggest watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. The original was a great, whats the word, gate way anime? The remake is as far showing promise and we should see those zepplins soon enough. It's basic plot line is Nazi Germany; and you know. A kid who can use alchemy, a group of people who manifest the seven deadly sins, and a jew who got fed up with being killed so he decided to kill off the germans. http://www.fullmetalalchemist.com/ |

![]() I'm not sure about your tastes, but no matter said tastes you have to watch Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Watch it, love it, live it. Other suggestions are: Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei (suicidal homeroom teacher and his exploits) Hetalia Axis Powers (this is a short web series in which WW1/2 era countries go at it) Code Geass (Not my type of tea, but my friends insist it's good) Death Note (Despite being mainstream I think it's got a good plot) Soul Eater (Generic fighting anime) YuYu Hakusho (The fighting anime) Dragon Ball (duh) Dragon Ball Z (double duh) One Piece (sub, never dub) Seto no Hanoyame (mermaid gangsters) Rorouni Kenshin (One of those 90's anime everyone watched) Don't watch - ever: Dragon Ball GT (>__> Ugh..) Naruto (;-; Why did they even make this?) ._. But yeah, I've been around. Mostly fighting with my teachers and watching anime inbetween. When I manage to get enough time to play on my ps3 it's usually littlebigplanet. |
