I bought some rear lense gaskets a while ago, and thought I'd have a go at fitting one.

Now, the screws I have are old, but genuine, measuring 50mm in length and they fasten without the gasket, now.........!
With the gasket they are too short.
A search on the parts list, suggests, that the length should be 52mm long, but........, the old screws have been superceeded by new ones, whos length, if im reading the part number the same as the old part number, is 50mm long!!!!!

Anyone else had this problem?

Will try and be clever here!

So the screws are gen? are the lens gen?? that is the original or the latest Imasen??? might be 2mm difference in fixing port????

Or are the gaskets gen, as I had just one gasket on my lens before I bought the Yamaha set and the one taken off was like a sponge compared to the Yam

;)

I really appreciate your input, and can inform you thus!
The lense is genuine Stanley. Imansen did the indicator lenses.
The gaskets arrived in a sealed, Yamaha bag, but are rubber, not sponge.
At this point I smell a rat!

Sorry I meant the plastic part of lens, as I've noticed that they are different from original to what they are now? as different colours, so maybe different gauge?

these are the gaskets I just bought
