Very nice, almost finished dare I say. I would go with some flat bars as a suggestion.

I am seduced by those flat bars so might do that in the future. As you can see I've tried to give it a more classic look as didn't like the eighties dx styling. I know it's not original but still have the original rims and seat so if the next owner wants to put back as truly original it would be easy to do. I actually had the plastic seat cowl of the old seat sprayed white as well but the new classic seat looks so much better in my opinion .

Please help,,,,, wired up battery but the main lights and brake light not working. Am I right in thinking the bike needs to be running for main lights and brake light to work. Indicators horn and speedo light working just on batt ??

Brake light works off battery.

Headlight/tail light only works with the engine running.

Speedo back light also only works with the engine running but the neutral light works off the battery.
Could you have the neutral light either in the backlight hole or wired up wrongly in the headlamp?

I would suggest checking you have a good earth on the rear lamp.

Sorted electrics. Well will have once I scrape some powder coating as Earth bad on back light holder and indicators going into powder coated headlight housing. Neutral was easy fix ,blue wire had slipped out of trunking . So need to sort that but all tested and working. Cheers Posted Image
