Few photos from a trip early this summer riding from Marrakech to the western side of the Sahara. Rode across the High Atlas mountains.

Thanks because the Fizzy was too heavy for the hold and it wont go in the over head locker either.

Left at home and hired an XT, you will note the Yamaha theme through!!!!

Rode the mountains and the desert on my own, great fun.

But happy to offer a photo on my Fizzy through taken the day before Thundersprint.

Cheers

Cheers its a really good place to ride and although every one I told that I was to ride from Marrakech to the Sahara thought "adventure riding", (it's not).

Great tarmac, fantastic views and friendly locals. Moutain roads really snake up to the snow line and you go from 40* to 10* on the tops. Strange to feel cold and be riding in Africa!

It was hardly the "Dakar" but on my own felt a little outside of my comfort zone.

Wife and youngest son left in Marrakech hotel whilst I "played out". Bike hire from Locoroute in Marrakech and not expensive. A number of so called adventure outfits charging silly money for the same thing, so you dont have to have bags of money to do it. Would do it again.

Fantastic looking adventure, i worked in Africa during the early 90s, could not ride on your own then though, well in a tank maybe.
