I have trouble turning the key in my ignition switch as it just wont turn at times, I find this very frustrating, I have tried WD40 and this does not help, I am thinking about getting a new ignition switch BUT (this is where I need advice):

Should I get an official yamaha one for £50, or a Pattern Part one for £15?? :ermm:

I am considering the pattern one as it is cheaper, however is there much difference apart from the make, and are they both as reliable?

Thanks. :)

Check how many wires you have etc on your ignition switch and then make sure you buy the same - pattern have normally been fine in my experience as well

have you tried taking it apart? be careful you dont lose any parts. i find the original ones are easy to service
