Could someone please tell me how often, and for how long I need to charge the battery for, I was given a charger when I collected my FS1M off eBay and was not told.

If the bike is being used regularly, it should not need charging at all. However lead acid batteries last longer if they're fully charged, so if the bike isn't being used for a few months, it's a good idea to trickle charge it every month or so for a few hours.

...or buy an Optimate and leave it on charge all the time when not in use. The optimate holds the battery at its 'optimum' performance, therefore ready for when yo need to use it - I sell around 5 a week!!
