I have stripped the thead on the bolt thats on the swing arm that holds the torque arm. Can it be replaced or is it welded in ?

It is a boss, welded into the swing arm. So replacing it would require welding and possibly damaged paint work.

If memory serves, isn't it an 8mm thread? it could be died down to 6mm, or, if it's a 6mm thread, died down to 5mm. Just a thought.

I sheared mine off on my purple fizz a few years ago :o

What I did to repair it was to remove the right hand footrest and drill through from the back, recut a new thread and fit a new stud ;)

Yes please Paul that would help, I am such a ****. I have put a nut on after it to lock it at the moment which will be safe enough but would like to do it properly. Anyway how are you doing, are you going on the london rideout in march ?
