I've got a drawing of the first UK model dx hose (1975) that was in two parts if that's of any use. I know it changed to a one part hose in 1976 which was essentialy the same, but without the centre joint. In both cases the last bit to the (in front of the fork leg) calliper is a short length of steel pipe. The overall length is going to depend on which handlebars were fitted. The UK DX's had lower handlebars than the drum brake models.

Hi Mech73 Thanks again! That`s a nice drawing you have there. It`s right that the model here was "one" brakehose. But if i send this picture too the company with total lenght. They sould be able too make it as one brakehose. Right? Do you have a picture off the one they made for you? Thanks Danishguy |

I'm away from home at the moment, but I'll take a photo later tonight. What is the year of your bike? Cheers Mark C |

Here are the photo's of my brake hose taken tonight, apart from the one with the rule which was taken in 2008, when the hose was brand new. The hose I had made was one piece, which is correct for my year of FS1EDX (1977) but the length and end fittings were based on the sketches I posted earlier. Instead of the join in the middle, a rubber tube was added to fit in the clamp piece that you can see just below the horn in the pictures. Cheers Mark C ![]() ![]() ![]()

I paid about £30 I think. That was in March 2008. I sent him my old two piece hose as a pattern as well as the drawing and he made me the one piece hose to the same total length. His email address was classichoses@aol.com. Quote my name (Mark Chambers) if you wish, as he may keep records of what he has made and for whom. Cheers Mark C |
