hey there , i have a 1987 FS1 , i am trying to take out the fork oil seals , how do i go about this, also i need to drain the oil , can anyone help me with these tasks?

you will need to take the forks out of the bike to do this, have you got a haines manual?

That's right, you should get a Haynes Manual. It will come in use for other things as well.

But once you have the front forks out of the bike there is a retaining clip on the FS1's that needs to be removed and then with a bit of effort the tubes should come out.

I tried removing the forks using a Haynes manual but the paper ripped. I resorted to a spanner in the end ;-)
