Why would anyone ask for anything below what they could actually get? The credit crunch is just a load of hot air. Everything gets blamed on the credit crunch now but in reality, if people stopped listening to the news and panicking, there wouldn't be an 'economic crisis'.

Credit Crunch is nothing more than mere market readjustment...back into reality

opps - I thought the seller sets the price Mike ! stick to your guns mate

when I sell one of my mopeds - I decide what price I am happy to accept for it and then I sell it for as much as I can get for it within reason - everything has a top end price,
For a nice unrestored unmolested early Purple Pop - They can reach up to £1500 depending on how many owners they have had and whether they have any history and how many people want one at that point in time.
If someone doent want to pay over £1200 then go and look for another bike !

I just sold my 1974 era purple pop to another Fizzy site member for £675 that was with 12 months mot on it as well - all he had to do was apply for an age related plate and change the petrol tank - it was for sale on here and Ebay - you had your chance of a very good cheap Purple Pop fizzy and it ran really well as well , it was nice and quiet.

Just a few more details on the fizz for you all

The guards are the geuine org ones and so are the handle bars rims, air box ends etc. I did change the exhaust as the castle nut was US.

The speedo works all OK and is in very good nick. All the electrics etc work fine and it also has the org choke lever.

Looking at the seat cover it has been changed and it does not have the correct chrome strip on it.
Its MOT's till April next year and I have only done about a max of 20 miles since that.

It has matching numbesr and has only had 5 former keepers which is very rare.
The bike was reg on 19th Nov 1974 so it just coming up to its 34th Birthday
