Hi everyone, Ive looked on this site a few times and decided to take the plunge and join up. Like many of you 40 somethings i had a Baja brown fizzy, i got it from Malcolm Davis in Barton Street Gloucester for £210 in 1975.. I was so impatient that i was not 16 until Feb 1976... I took it up to a local school where my uncle was a caretaker and used to go there and ride it in the play ground when the school was closed.. Got 2 punctures from drawing pins...Doh...But i was ready for the road in feb and got the clutch control well under control by then...Anyway if any one knows where my bike is now or if its still alive please let me know..The reg is LDF 68P.. Many thanks B) B)

Thanks, This is a lovely site to read through as like all of you i loved my fsie when i was 16.. My mates both had purple ones and mine was baja brown. We did the usual things like taking out the baffles and having pedal races in the car parks. That took a lot of effort to get not very far.. If only there was a way of getting it back...Oh well maby one day... I reckon if Yamaha re introduced this cracking little bike it would still sell in BIG numbers today.... :)

Hi brake-dust, Many thanks for doing the check on my fs1e. It looks like it was still on the road for 10 years then. I wonder how many owners it had and what condition it ended up in...MRK124 :ermm:
