I,m trying to rewire my fiz from scratch, I,ve got a pattern loom & switch, the problem is I,ve got 6v going into the switch on the red wire and a good earth should i have 6v on the black wire that goes to the coil & gene that comes out of the switch, I,m sure I did have but it seems to have gone or has the switch gone faulty. any suggestions or good diagrams would be much apprieciated yours frustrated Vince

I think the coil black goes to the black from the swith. when the ignition is off the coil goes to earth on this wire. when the ignition is on, the current is generated from the primary coil via the points up the line and through this wire. Cobra |

OK just wired mine up, the green and yellow are the mag wires for lights. the light blue is neutral light and the black double socket is from the condencer. plug the black coil into this and also the black from the ignition switch, it will then spark. when the switch is off it puts the coil to earth. this is correct, I know as I had to pig about for a but until I sussed it.
