the seat on my 74 fizzy I am restoring is good will little rust (none when I have finished) and most important no rips and nice and hard (foam nothing else)
the problem is the seat cover although no rips is quite stiffish and I think once my fat bum has been on and off it a few times may split, I need to soften the cover, is there anything I can rub into it to make the cover softer Cheers Cobra |

I have heard that silicone spray is good to make the vinyl pliable. |

It was suggested to me that vaseline would help,so over the winter it was smeared in the stuff, the results were limited and only temporary. And me sex life went down the pan

cheers, I will take a trip to halfords and see if there are any products around for the job. may be leather cream? I might nic some of the missus Clarens face cream and molton brown cream and do a test are with both, if it works they can put in their advert "softens and buitifies skin and also good for old fizzy seats so your husband has something soft for him piles"
