Rebuild has started, i still think the headlamp mounts need another coat but I'll see what it's like back together.

I think it's coming along well. Swingarm only thing really that needs painting, and i love the black forks :)

you didn't see it close up, the paint on the frame was shocking, and the tank has rust and corrosion on the top.

Good to see you getting stuck in and having a go Dom.I agree the fork legs look good black,I did the fork legs on the Special satin black and they look cool B) .
Also did the engine casings gloss black and they came up a treat ;)

you can just see in the last pic underneath the tank that ive done the other side of the engine casing black it does look nice. and the chainguard is and they go together well.

Changed the mudguard to the lower holes so it's closer to the wheel, looks so much better than before.

On the pic, the orange looks a bit pale, but it's actually real bright.

Practically finished rebuild now, taken me about 10 hours i would say. All left to do now is put part of the engine casing and the chaiguard back on, sort out the back brake and put on the kickstart shaft and gear lever. not much then.

pics will come tomorrow night when it's all built :D

Well i didnt't do the engine. And I also did it all myself so i didnt have to send it off to be professionally done. But cheers bud :)

Hoping to get it finished tomorrow, been craving a ride on it for a week or so :lol: :lol:

Don't know if you have painted the Tank yet Dom but did you consider the black tank but changing the Kenny Roberts speedblocks to orange and white?.
It would match the frame nicely and bring the orange into the colour theme of the bike ;) .

i havent done the tank yet, ive decided to get an earlier style tank at the advice of brake-dust. when i have a bit more cash incoming that will be my next buy. And yeah gloss black with the orange and white speedblock i did think of that, after my gcses i think :D

Balls. Thought i was goin to finish tonight, but i cant get the clutch working. arrgghhh. Everything else sorted except the wiring, the fiddliest part. Hopefully I'll have it sorted tomorrow.

Practically totally rebuilt now, just a couple more bits. Clutch still doesnt work but i need some more light and a dad here before i can fix that.
