tried to win some fs1e bits off ebay but once again outbid by perswede , the ordinary people trying to restore there bikes dont stand much chance when people who have parts suppliers that supply them with parts cant win anything. and the bits will proberly be put back on the web site for a higher price. |

I here what youre saying Kev but, I don't think Per's in the habit of buying to hoard, and resell at an inflated price. I guess what you were bidding on was genuine used or NOS. Much of what Per trades in is pattern. He also rebuilds, and if he choses to use NOS in his rebuilds, he too has to resort to ebay, just like the majority of us. |

Just to set the record straight here, all the parts I bid for and win fair and square on eBay are for my own project bikes and do not get re-sold for profit except as part of a finished bike. Occasionally when I have bought the wrong part by mistake it will re-appear on eBay but usually at a knock down price and a loss just to move it on an re-coup some of my money I often get outbid myself by others on eBay like "Adultika" etc, which is just as frustrating for me as it me outbidding you I am sure? I am primarily a fizzy enthusiast & restorer and solely use FizzyParts as a means to help finance my restorations. It is not my full time job (although sometimes it feels like it is!) What do you need and I will see if I can help you? Cheers Per |

If i had a pound for everytime adultika outbid me on something i wanted i'd be a rich man. bottom line is ebay is all about who wants something bad enough and has the bank account to back it up. the majority of these parts are no longer manufactured and therefore command a hughely inflated price. I do agree to a point but many so called rare parts are still availabe from Yamaha. If yer restoring a fizzer get hold of a parts list and be in contact with as many dealers you can phone/email. Many parts are still available much cheaper than ebay prices. As for being outbid yes it is annoying but hey ho :rolleyes. Should you ever win an item from the same outbidding seller then perhaps get their address and "pay them a visit !!" Per really is a Fizzy parts star. He puts alot of effort into helping out, not many do !!

If anyone knows a yamaha dealer that has genuine front / rear mudgaurds, exhaust, pedeal crank or speedo point me to them. I told everyone when i started sourcing parts that they were all going to be genuine but after months of waiting / searching and being outbid i am going to fit the best pattern i can get just to get it finished so i ride it. the above are all i need. the rest is genuine so i guess i can replace them if ever genuine turn up.
