Just bought a rear mudguard from Team Almere.Wot a heap of xxxx.Crap chrome,cheap looking & the tunnel looks like Stevy Wonder fitted it.It`s about half an inch off centre.Just goes to show,you get what you pay for.Definately getting returned. :(

Buy a genuine Yamaha one and fill in and re drill the holes

FS1 Almere sells the same pattern crap like everybody else, all those pattern mudguards are coming from the same crappy fabricator :P

They are not expensive though are they? Cheap and cheerful would be how I describe them. A couple of years ago you couldn't get anything with a tunnel on.

Yeah, lets be right, given the choice of being able to get parts for the bike [even if a little wonky] versus having to have everything original/NOS/mint restored, I would rather be able to get the bits easily, because I am more interested in having the bike correct [if not showroom] and enjoying riding the thing.

what do you mean about fill it? and re drill the holes? if it is genuine should it not fit directly on as is and be right? I don't follow

Genuine Dutch have differnt hole patterns to Genuine UK. ]

Different tail lights etc.

So Dave was talking about a gen Dutch fender then. I see now. suppose you just get some chrome bolts to fill the holes. If I drilled new ones the light would sure as hell be wonky :lol: :lol: never been able to drill a hole in the right place yet!!

you should see my shelfing work. :lol: It starts out as straight but when put together it is wonky why does that happen :angry: :angry:

cobra invest in a spirit level or better still get down to spec savers i went there the other day never guess who i bumped into-----------fooking every one i should of got a spirit level in stead.

I've just had a Gennie rear guard re-chromed, just needs the bracket holes marking, masking and drilling, check my link Chrome. It is up for sale thought I would give forum (my preferred place to sell) a chance, I can take more pictures if anyone is interested!
