I believe there is now only one manufacturer of exhausts that resemble the original. They are pretty good for the money and I can supply you one for £35.00 plus postage ;)

Are the seams on centre? and is the need for a rubber mallet to make it fit a thing of the past? :o

I'm watching this with interest ;)

Per, can you put us out of our misery and say how near to original these exhausts you've sourced are?

I think in short, the only advice is this:

Genuine NOS exhausts are rare things, and if one is found the cost is usually exorbitant!

Used old stock is another option, though usually the chrome is past it's best and chromers will usually prefer not to touch it!

So what remains is pattern, but not your usual pattern...no, chinese pattern!

Lu Hau or Lu Haq something like this.

The good points: Theyre cheap, they'll work for a while, they're available.

The Bad points: The chromes naff, the fit can be beyond a joke, they seams of the body, instead of being at 12 and 6 oclock are usually 1 and 7 oclock,( or is that 11 and 5 oclock?) and they tend to crack where the upper mount is welded to the exhaust body. Fitting will more often than not, require a file and a mallet.

So thats about it exhaust wise.

The choice or the lack of it, is yours!

;)
