Hi I holler fm victoria bc Canada. I own a 75 yamaha SS and it has 1900 miles on it. Im third owner and i have done a partial restore I have some brand new tank decals for 25 bucks a pair if anyone is interesting reflecting SS not FS1E. Shes runs great but if you have a suggestion on how to get a faulty left signal that stays on to flash instead. Id like to hear it. I also have complete manuals and so on which I would photocopy for 75 canadian. worth their weight in gold. i can also get an assortment of new parts as well subject to availability of course. well keep the shiny side up! richard |

Good looking bike, I think some of the Dutch fizzies are in that colour scheme as well. The flasher unit itself must be ok if the right side works. Flasher unit relies on heat to bend the bimetallic element. If its not flashing it's not getting hot enough, the current flow determines the temperature, so there's not enough current. Either the left side bulbs are too resistive (too low wattage) or there is some other resistance in the circuit that shouldn't be there eg bad connections or poor earth. Cheers Mark C |
