MG midget engines are rubbish....they have a 1.8 engine with is slow and sluggish.

Mini is probaly best (and im not just saying it because ive got one) there's quite alot of young people that drive them and there cheap to run and you dont have to pay tax if you have a mk1/2 model like i do....they also go up in price all the time...and the more you mod the engine, the more interest you'll get if you want to sell it (unlike the fizzy)...parts are cheap and there easy to work on...but they rust alot.

yeah mini insurance is a bitch. and they do have a chav/mod reputation which is terrible. but theyre easy to maintain if a little basic, cramped, etc. to get one looking decent you will have much more in it than its worth but its like that with everything i suppose. its one of those cars ou would quite like to own if it wasnt for the fact you look a cock in it, a bit like mk one golf GTi's. a good car ruined by the people who drive them.

go for summot out of the norm i say!

fiat 126 . . . .hehehe . . .

now theres a car, cheap, dont see many . . . actually are cheap to insure and run

the engine over the rear wheels if you buy an air cooled, which you hsould because they're awesome.

what more could you want.

A minis insurance would be cheaper that a new car if you go with a classic car insurer or a mini only insurer....

Also doing up a mini is going to be worth more the the mini itself....a good example is my one and im not lying about this....a brought the car for £800 and the stuff that came with it saved me £500...in the end i would have spent arounf £1000 doing it up and when finished it will easily be worth around £3000...so i spend £1800 buying and doing up the car and then make a £1200 profit when i want to sell it.

not sure, but you might be able to go with mini only insurer at 17....there also a few ways to get your insurance down...if you take a pass plus thing after you take your test can reduce your insurance by £300...
