Hi boy's i will start by saying i have a straight through fuel tap i leave fuel in the tank and the bike is on an angle because its on a side stand so is the carb allowing fuel into the engine because the float bowl will be at an angle so fuel collects in the engine which would make it rev high when its been running and gets warm it dies back down ticks over a short time then cuts out ??????

I think you're saying that it runs too fast immediately after a cold start,

then as it warms up it idles ok for a bit,

then as it warms up further the idle slows and it cuts out.

Have I understood that correctly? if so I don't think the straight through fuel tap can be the only issue, but I suggest that needs to be fixed first, then see what happens. The symptoms sound a bit like those caused by an air leak.

Sorry for the late reply i tend to mull things over first and take comments onboard, well it was quite an easy fix it wasn't a fuel flow tap problem in the end it wasn't an airleak but just a simple tweek of the air screw turning it out a quarter of a turn to richen up the mixture and alter the slide hieght slightly it ticks over now when warm and dose not rev high up,and its a dellorto 21mm carb eveyone cheers mech good advise as always.
