Chapter 6 is a sort of climax ending, but some new information. Should be worth the read. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Narrator says: When we last left off. Forenza was under heavy attack by Rokugan forces. The fight was going badly, and to make matters worse, the enemy had found its way around the village and into the caves where the women and children of the village were hiding. Lilly rushed off alone towards the caves to warn them, but she was too late and a battle ensued Lilly says: Follow me everyone. Mysterious Woman says: Stands up slowly Die! Spawns a giant ice spike and throws it at Lilly Voice says: Watch out! Lilly says: Turns around and gasps * says: A large ice spike flies through the air straight towards Lilly Seth says: Jumps down in front of Lilly and raises shield allowing the spike to smash against it As the ice spike hits, the shield shatters from the impact, Seth is knocked to the ground Ugh Lilly says: SETH! WHY YOU! Begins glowing very brightly, as Lilly does, flames rise around her and swirl around her legs and arms Mysterious Woman says: Watches Lilly while partially dazed Omy! Lilly says: Begins to float off the ground, Lilly points her arms at the Mysterious woman, the flames gathering in her hands The fire shoots out of her hands, straight into the mysterious woman’s chest Mysterious Woman says: Chest begins to glow Huh? Oh no. Glows brighter NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Explodes * says: The explosion is so large; the entire enemy force is vaporized. Everyone in the caves is knocked down. Lilly says: Comes back to the ground Panting Uh, Seth? Seth are you ok? Bends over and holds Seth's head up Seth says: ... OW! Son of a.... ... My shield, it's ruined. Lilly says: Oh, I'm glad you are all right Seth says: Yeah I'm fine, but what about you, what happened here? And who was that Mysterious Woman? Lilly says: I don't know who she was, but she could use magic just like me. Seth says: Hmmm Lilly says: ... Seth why are you here? What about the village? Seth says: Huh? Oh, well that's a funny story. Here we are, holding our shields against them trying to stop them, when all of a sudden their catapult goes off and fires a rock straight at the broken place in the wall. Without the wall to stop the rock, it landed straight on top of their army crushing most of their first line attackers. While they were stunned, I caught a glimpse of their commander, so I grabbed my bow and fired an arrow. Nailed him right in the forehead. Almost immediately after he hit the ground, someone yells "The commander is dead, RUN!" and their entire army turns around, drops their weapons, and runs like cowards. Lilly says: Wow, well it's a good thing you came when you did. Otherwise I would be dead now. Thank you Seth. Seth says: Hmmm.... Looks over to where Bob is laying dead Huh? Walks over to body ... Bob??? Lilly, what happened? Lilly says: .... He betrayed us, he lead them here. Seth says: WHAT!? .. Wait, why is he dead, did you kill him? Lilly says: No, they did, they said he was released from his duty and then they killed him. Seth... I used my magic. Seth says: Really? More than what I saw? Can you control it? Lilly says: No... She was going to kill them Seth, she was freezing them alive, I had to stop her. Seth says: Whoa calm down Runs back to Lilly and holds her Lilly says: I had to I had to .... Seth says: Hey, hey, it’s all right... Lilly says: I killed them, I killed them all... Seth says: .....!? Lilly says: I couldn't stop myself... Seth says: ... But you saved the women and children; you’re a hero Lilly Lilly says: .... Wipes tears from her eyes I am sorry Seth. Seth says: ... It's all right; this is tough for everyone, a lot of people died today. We should go back to the village, are you ok to walk? Lilly says: Yes Seth says: ... Alright lets go * says: And so they walked back to the village Lilly says: .... Huh? How is this possible? Seth says: Hmmm, I told you, they all ran away. Not a single one of us got hurt; one person twisted their ankle, that's it. Lilly says: Wow Seth says: I am just not sure what to do now. Lilly says: Well, rest and rebuild of course, but what if they come back? Seth says: I think it's very likely they will come back, with a much greater force. It's not safe here Lilly says: Are they still after me? Seth says: I don't think so, if what we heard before was correct. Lilly says: Hmmm your right, Rokugan already controls everything. Except this place. Seth says: Yes, so I don't know how we can protect this place Voice in distance says: Sir! We got a live one here Seth says: Huh? Runs over to fighter in distance Lilly says: Follows Seth Fighter says: Look sir, this one is still alive Lilly says: Bends down over the fallen soldier It can't be... It's him? Seth says: .... I cannot believe it Soldier 3 says: Uh.... You bastards! Lilly says: Omy Stand him up please Fighter says: Bends over, grabs Soldier 3 and brings Soldier 3 to his feet Soldier 3 says: Ow... How could you do this? How could you beat us? Lilly says: Evil will never win Soldier 3 says: ... Your the one... that is evil..... Fire mage.... Faints Falls over Seth says: ....? Us evil? Yeah right. Lilly says: Could you please take this man to the hospital? Seth says: Are you sure Lilly? He will likely come back and try and kill everyone again. Lilly says: ... I want to prove I am not evil. Fighter says: Yes ma'am Grabs soldier 3 and drags him into hospital Scared Villager says: What happens now? Will they be back? Lilly says: ... Not if we can help it Seth says: You have a plan, don't you Lilly? Lilly says: Sort of, we have to get to Rokugan's capital city. Seth says: Rokugan's capital city? Refresh my memory, where is that? Lilly says: It is far south, a city named Rokuna. Seth says: Rokuna? Isn't that the city that is basically a giant castle? Lilly says: Unfortunately yes. Seth says: How can we ever get inside something like that? We don't exactly have an army. Lilly says: I haven't figured that part out yet. Woman from cave says: Excuse me, you saved my son Please, let me help you Your a fire mage right? Lilly says: Yes, you know of mages? Woman from cave says: Only from stories, but if your real, perhaps he is real too. Lilly says: He? Woman from cave says: The Earth Mage of this forest. Lilly says: Earth Mage.... Woman from cave says: Yes, he supposedly lives inside the ground itself. The stories aren't very specific but he is always describes as incredibly powerful and the reason Forenza stays safe from the outside world. Seth says: Hmmm, if that were true, would this mage not have stopped the Rokugan army for us? Woman from cave says: Perhaps his power has become weak, or perhaps he is not real. I don't know. Lilly says: Well... it's a place to start; perhaps this mage can protect Forenza for us so we can go and stop Rokugan. Seth says: ... Well I'm all for it. However if we plan on doing this, we need better equipment. My sword has been badly worn from the fighting and my shield was destroyed. Even my body armor is rusting badly from age. Lilly says: Perhaps we could get a blacksmith to forge you new equipment? Seth says: Yes, except one problem. The blacksmith was an Archer. He didn't survive.... Lilly says: Oh. That’s horrible. Man with child says: Just a moment son, I need to talk to that man. Walks over to Seth Excuse me, I overheard that you wanted to go into the forest. Lilly says: Yeah, we are going to go look for the Earth Mage Man with child says: Looks to Lilly Well then take my advice; the deep parts of the forest are dangerous. There are more than bears and tigers out there. Seth says: I'm not worried about deer Man with child says: No, far worse. Lilly says: Worse? What is so bad out in the forest? Man with child says: The trees... Lilly says: Trees? Seth says: Trees? ... Wait let me guess, the trees in the deep forests are alive? Man with child says: Ye... Lilly says: That explains Bob Seth says: .. You can explain Bob? Lilly says: Yes, he loved trees; he always said he would never cut one because they would get hurt. What if a long time ago while cutting wood, he found one of these talking trees? Seth says: ... What if a long time ago, he just went crazy? Man with child says: No, the lady is right. Seth says: ... All right, what can we do about them? Man with child says: Please wait here. Runs off into a house Time passes Slowly walks back, carrying a very large sword and shield. Here, for you sir. Seth says: Takes sword Whoa, wow! It's so huge and yet, so light Twirls sword in air Thanks a lot Man with child says: Here, take this shield too, they are together a set. Seth says: Takes shield Wow it's light too Man with child says: These are magical items Seth says: Magical? Man with child says: Yes, please miss; cast your fire at his shield. Lilly says: Ummm Ok, I will try Tries to focus Hand begins to glow faintly Slightly brighter Very bright A small bolt of fire shoots from Lilly's hand and smashes into Seth's shield Seth says: Huh? Shield begins to glow faintly What the? The fire? It went inside the shield? Seth's arm begins to glow faintly, then his chest Whoa what the! The glow disappears .... Hey, I feel better, I was tired but now, I feel slightly better. Man with child says: Yes, the shield can absorb magic into your body. Seth says: .... Wow Ok so what does the sword do? Man with child says: ... The sword is used to smash peoples armor and skulls in combat Seth says: Oh.. Of course I knew that Lilly says: Laughs Seth says: .... Well thank you very much Man with child says: Turns to face child Let's go son Walks into house Seth says: Well, we should get some rest if we are heading out tomorrow to go into the forest to find this Earth Mage. Lilly says: Yes Turns towards house .... Uh Seth. Seth says: What? Turns towards house Oh ... Anyone pack a tent? Lilly says: Walks up to rubble that was their house My good dishes were in there... Seth says: Walks over to rubble Oh look, my room is still standing. Lilly says: Sigh Seth says: Looks to Lilly You can have my room for the night, I will sleep outside. Lilly says: ... Thanks Seth Narrator says: And so they slept. What adventures will they have tomorrow? What are these trees that can talk? Where is this Earth Mage? Does he exist? But really I just need an excuse to train Lilly to be less random with the magic. As the effect is growing old now. The next chapter will mostly just be the training.
