I'll just leave this here... http://calistomaniac.deviantart.com/ Even if I rarely update it at the moment, I'm hoping this summer will change that a bit. I have here three videos that me and a small team of students in my Animation Design course have been making for various projects. This first one was for a film module, where I came up with the initial idea, planned the majority of the shots and filmed the entire thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEyTlZIXZiU This next video was for a sound project, where we had to record our own sounds, and make them into a song. Since I was the only one with any previous musical editing knowledge, I was the one to edit the recorded sounds down into usable chunks to put into Reason's ReDrum, and compile the entire thing into Cubase. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2A5ksYqkJM Finally, something those on Skype during Retro's DH sessions on Fridays would have heard me yelling about in the past few weeks. My team superhero wrestling film. I had been given Calculus as a name, robot as a...gender, and to design him as a hero. So naturally, I wanted to make him as cute as possible, while sticking to the brief of making him look like a vinyl toy. I modelled, rigged, textured, and animated all of Calculus (the little blue guy), lit my entire fight scene, placed all the cameras, and rendered the entire thing. 14 hours, not fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYd6Nw87YW0 I also compiled all the footage together at the end in Premiere, chose the fight song for my fight, put all the sound effects in, and made the damn DVD. Feels damn good to have finished this year. Critique is welcome, I don't bite. |
