It's been half a year, if you havent picked up the game to find out about the link to the TARDIS, you have only youtself to blame.

Ah, the TIGHAR expedition. Their findings were much more extensive than suggested by the article, which doesn't even mention the most interesting stuff: namely, that aircraft parts were found on the island. One particular part matches a piece from an Electra, which was a rare enough craft that Earhart's is known to be the only one that went down anywhere near this part of the Pacific.
