You mean that infernal nonsense, Pinafore?

Indeed -- but it generally isn't heard; and if it is, it doesn't matter. :)

(The SO's father once had this custom license plate: "GNSBASS"; and he was a member of the Lamplighters in Boston. Yeah.)

Not only that, but every future session of Parliament must begin with a recital of H.M.S. Pinafore in its entirety.

It'd probably be saner than what usually goes on in there.

You guys need a local branch of Autotune The News.

Well, the _Top Gear_ crew will be happy -- one Minister is named "May", and MoT is named "Hammond"....

They look exactly the same, and both look like Tim Henman.

Also doesn't help that news reports tend to use only last names, as well.

(Yes, I know I'm only catching up just now...)

So the new Prime Minister gets to move in right away? Hm; in contrast, here the new President gets a few months between election and inauguration to put his staff/cabinet/whatever together before he officially moves in, which I'm sure most people will agree is a wise thing to do. (I remember how, after Obama got elected, people were complaining that they actually had to wait until January 20th to see him inaugurated... "Inauguration Impatience Syndrome", they called it.)

Oh, and some primaries just took place here stateside, and while they don't affect me directly... I'm still miserable and grimly looking at the future, based on who just got elected. Anyone want to ask me who this new guy is?

And on that bombshell it's time to look at the scores.

Oh, it seems this election's dogs dinners are Gordon and Mandy, with only 258, whilst this weeks dogs bollocks are David and Nick, with 363! A big thanks to our guests Gordon Brown, Peter Mandleson, David Cameron and Nick Clegg!

And I leave you with news that in London, one football fan is delighted that his work schedule will leave him free to watch the entire World Cup.

And at a nursery school in Weymouth there are suspicions that even 3yr olds can see through a politician's promises.

Thankyou for watching, goodnight!
