So, I'm part of a group that does fanmade audio dramas, comedies, episode commentaries and prose stories that are set in the Knightmare universe. For shits and giggles, as you do. They're lots of fun to put together, and you'd be surprised how well a show like Knightmare lends itself to "Expanded Universe" style chicanery, especially with characters from its later years. But anyway, I'm just popping in with an announcement that the group, known as The Dunshelm Players, now have a new website which can be found here. There's some exciting stuff on the horizon, and since most of us are of a certain generation that grew up with Knightmare, I think the product of our endeavours would go down quite nicely here. Some things worth having a butchers at include "Famous for Retreating", which (amongst other things) reveals just how Lord F came to be the sardonic magnificent bastard we all know and love, and "Yes, Dungeon Master", which is exactly that - Knightmare if it was Yes, Minister. Upcoming things in the pipeline include a new audio drama that chronicles the rise of the new Lord Fear-led opposition that suddenly appeared at the start of series 5, and a whole new series of written stories set after the show's timeframe. Check it out, and feel free to leave feedback/spread the word/follow us on Twitter/bear our children/set upon us with stout sticks, mattocks and knobkerries for our heinousness. |
