I'm still waiting for the first action-packed issue of AMISH MAN. Cleverly disguised as mild-mannered 19th-Century farming narcissist Alan Plain, AMISH MAN uses his Ecclesiastically-Approved Battle Array to fight crime in rural Pennsylvania!

WITNESS! The Mighty Cowmobile! With four strong oxen pulling a super-yoke of Plain's own devising, the Cowmobile can reach speeds of up to fifteen miles per hour!

THRILL! At the destruction wrought upon evildoers by Amish Man's Catapult-of-Nine-Tails, as it launches it payload of feline fury!

YAWN! As you realize you just spent half an hour reading thirty pages mostly about agricultural lifestyles and a debate over the use of actual color in Amish Man's Battle Frock!

@ Flyboy: Well, maybe it was a magical superweapon. Or rather, a magic object so advanced, it resembled technology, like Hex in Discworld.

@ Calbeck: Thank you for that delightfully hilarious post, I'd like to see it happen too. XD

Oh, and here's the rest of the character designs.

Task Master
Posted Image
The main villain in the Deadpool movie, and had something to do with Deadpool's creation. Originally used a special dust that corroded human flesh, until it backfired on him, causing his skull headed appearance.

Agent X
Posted Image
Is one of several assassins claiming to be the real Wade Wilson in the Deadpool movie. Carves an X into his body for every kill.

Riddler
Posted Image
The main villain in the next Batman movie. He's an evil voodoo magician from Barbados, who sees Batman as a last worthy foe.

Penguin
Posted Image
A midget hitman who ends up working for Riddler. He had an abusive childhood, and collects "taxes" in the form of human lives.

Killer Croc
Posted Image
Originally a crocodile poacher from Australia, he was getting chased by batman and accidently fell into a vat of strange chemicals, that changed his skin. Seeking revenge for getting deformed, he joins Riddler.

Ventriloquist
Posted Image
An entertainer at children's parties, and creepy next door neighbor ho keeps to himself. Is part of a subplot in which he stalks and kidnaps Bruce Wayne's love interest and puts her in a kinky death trap. Uses the scarface dummy as a messanger.

Kraven the Hunter
Posted Image
A Nigerian poacher who is arachniaphobic, and uses steroids.

Michael Morbius
Posted Image
A student at Peter's highschool who is subjected to cruel bio chemical expiriments that turn him into a "vampire". Uses his hands to drain plasma from people. Is very good at sparkling, and has a girlfriend named Ella.

Tarantula
Posted Image
A South American druglord who serves as some wild goose chase subplot. Mostly uses guns and knives, and uses toespikes at the last minute.

Whoa, sorry for the big bump, but I have more stuff I wanna show. This here is an idea for a serious idea for a comic. I’m still deep in the middle of planning everything, so ideas and comments are greatly appreciated. I got two more pages of this, then I’ll have a silly/stupid comic I do just for practice, then maybe a show idea.

A teen with an abused childhood finds a sherpa costume that gives him powers. Goes on adventures, joins a superhero school/organization thing. It turns out the suit belonged to a legendary Nepalese hero. Battles a few foes of the old Sherpa hero, who call him a thief/usurper, causes some mystery. The superhero school is closed down, students get subdued by super soliders, but a few escape, including sherpa. He and a few of the ex-students form a group called the “Hobo Horde” (they drew straws and the comic relief character got to pick). They are vagabonds, they have adventures. Eventually its revealed that Sherpa is a clone of the original sherpa, created by the main villain. Being raised in an abusive environment was to toughen him up and to make him more accepting to the idea of becoming a super villain. Sherpa feel bad about this but is resolved by the good ol “its not what you are but who you are” theme. Later on a war breaks out where all the supervllains form up an army to kill the heroes, like in Wanted, or Old Man Logan. However, the villains here ultimately fail due to their incorporative, individualistic, back stabbing behavior. During or before the war, something happens where sherpa must always keep the suit on, or he’ll be immediately vulnerable to the main villain. But then the love interest is mortally wounded by the main villain, and sherp puts the suit on her to save her. Uncostumed, Sherpa gets captured by main villain. While sherpa’s friends search for him they discover that the original Sherpa hero wasn’t dead, but in a magic induced sleep. Love interest sacrifices suit and her own powers to bring the old hero back. Locating the main villain’s base, they find their sherpa messed up and controlled with cybernetics, and a psionic rapport. But through incredible willpower he breaks off the cybernetics and rapports and miraculously heals himself, and it plays a big part in the death of the main villain. He and love interest, now normal, unpowered people are free to settle down and live normal lives.

Sherpa
Posted Image
Santosh Durhgamel. Main character. Has Super strength can lift 3 tons, healing factor, and limited ice powers. It had been just another winter’s day of cold and dulling pain for Santosh until he found the suit. Shortly after he brought it home his house was mysteriously bombed and his abusive drunk “uncle” was killed in the explosion. Thought not particularly religious, Santosh saw this as god giving him a new chance and wiping out his old life. A few weeks later he is convinced by Skeet to join the Chrome Class. At first he doesn’t like the tests and exercises, but stays for the friends he’s made, and for the lingering mystery over the sherpa suit. Though finding the suit gave him hope, the years of physical and verbal abuse left him with a cynical streak. He is angrily indifferent to any parents he may have had “they abandoned me, I’ll abandon them”. Towards the end of the series, in the middle of the war, Santosh gets into a near death experience, where he meets Meatbag, Griffin, and Draug. More importantly, it is revealed that the sherpa suit was worn by numerous people. Its like the idea of reincarnation in reverse: instead of one soul going through multiple bodies to achieve enlightenment, multiple souls go through one “body”, each to achieve his own enlightenment.

Caber
Posted Image
Allison Marnsdale. Super strength, can lift 25 tons, flight, near bullet proof durability, healing touch. Good natured but occasionally hot tempered and impulsive. Was born with her powers. The youngest sibling in a large farmer family, she was home schooled until 16. Her powers became publicly known when she was playing basketball and a boy was making fun of her so she threw him in the hoop. Initially Allison and Santosh didn’t like each other. Caber’s no nonsense straightforwardness clashing with Sherpa’s methodical stratagems. But gradually they grow to admire each other’s different strengths and eventually become lovers. She is the only one of the team with a close family, and gets frustrated at getting forced away from them.

Skeet
Posted Image
Zachary Jagendorf. Drains stamina from people, has a mechanical wing pack. Coming from a wealthy family, his powers and green skin emerged when he hit puberty. His parents embarrassed by what he had become, had him home schooled, then later sent to the Chrome class to get him out of their hair. Being the first student, Zachary became loyal to the idea of normal and meta humans live together in peace. On missions and exercises he and Santosh rarely got along on methods or priorities. In addition, Santosh was jealous of Zachary’s proficiency in Math and mechanics while Santosh was good at “less useful things” with History and Literature. Oh, and Santosh inadvertedly causing the Class to close down didn’t help either. Later on it turns out that Skeet got his powers form an experimental injection he had gotten form DreamBreaker when in infancy.

Danielle Sartch
Posted Image
A witch in training, she joins the Chrome Class after her master died. Is often frustrated and insecure with her sporadic magic abilities. At one point Danielle increases her power to an insane degree through use of a special relic, but stops when she gets a little power mad and accidentally injures Caber. The relic is later found by Pokerface and used by Jerdington. Later on Danielle turns out to be the lost twin sibling in a prophecy concerning a prominent order of wizards and witches. This contradicting Sherpa’s belief that such coincidences never happen in real life. After getting captured by Jerdington and the apparent deaths of Sherpa, Skeet, Griffin, and Shaniqua, a more assertive side emerges. Danielle takes lead of the remaining Hobo Horde and betters her magic skills, determined to never become anyone’s victim again.

Meatbag
Posted Image
Torbert Canady. Comic relief character, who is invulnerable to all external damage, but has no other power. So this generally limits him to the role of “glorified meat shield”, hence the name. His power was discovered during a car crash when he was eight, that killed his single mother. Since then, he’s been afraid to get close to anyone, hiding behind a façade of jokes and pranks. But even so he has shown moments of caring, like when he talked Santosh into joining the Hobo Horde. Sometime before the war he dies from a poison, and its sort of ironic: all his life his invulnerability saved him, but the a vulnerability winds up saving others. Later Appears to Santosh in a near death experience.

Draug
Posted Image
Super strength, can lift 5 tons, fires energy blasts from fingertips, has limited invisibility and intangibility. Has demonstrated other powers when under the control of others. Draug was a guy who was getting possessed by a demon, but the process was screwed up, so instead of the demon controlling his body, he controlled the demon’s body. This was from an earlier venture of Danielle, before she joined the Chrome Class. Draug then gets captured and experimented on by Dreambreaker. Danielle feels guilty over originally abandoning him, and spend time trying to change him back, sometimes even taking life risking measures. Draug gets changed back to a human two or three times, but it never lasts. Dies in the war.

Dream Breaker
Posted Image
The main villain, competent in both magic and science. In 1893 he was a dying doctor who made a deal with a demon for conditional immortality. That is, he’d keep staying alive as long as he created/mutated life, spreading his own poison. Dream breaker has greatly contributed to the rise of metahumans, but is largely obscure, working behind the scenes. Years ago he seemingly killed the original Sherpa, but simply killing him wasn’t enough. And so he created a clone, and placed him in the care of the most impulsively violent man he could find. This was to toughen Santosh up and make him more accepting to the idea of becoming a super villain. But then, the delivery of the Sherpa suit was screwed up, and Santosh discovered it under wrong circumstances. Since then, he tries to capture and turn Santosh, due to what he calls “fatherly affection”, but its actually just to get a sense of control. In the hero-villain war, Dreambreaker played a big role in creating, recruiting, and organizing much of Master Horricus’ forces. In return he gets a rare trans dimensional teleported, so he could go to another world, away form enemies, keep on creating stuff, and practically live like a god.

dirty Dan
Posted Image
Is meant to illustrate what Santosh could’ve been. Both were raised in an abusive environment under the manipulation of a villain, both have their powers come from a suit. Dan is arrogant and mocking, but usually has the prowess to back it up. He’s also sometimes ignorant to the point of his own undoing, he once put a Marxist and a Neo Nazi in the same team. Dan is killed by Skeet during the hero villain war, while saying that he’d never have the guts to do such a thing.

Pokerface
Posted Image
Generates and manipulates tons of razor sharp cards, has above normal strength, can levitate, and create copies of himself. A major villain and loose subordinate of Dreambreaker. He is highly enigmatic, with nothing known of who or what he is, or sometimes even the nature of his powers. He sees most everything as a game, and has a sadistic sense of humor. However, he follows a set of unwritten rules, even when it hinders him. As a running gag, he is sometimes seen singing the Lady Gaga song, but is always interrupted before reaching the chorus. Was a major recruiter in the super villain army. Is killed right before the war breaks out.

Master Horricus and Shinning Star
The world’s most important villain and Hero. Both are frequently mentioned but never appear. This is to portray isolation between famous and obscure characters. Also they can be used to add to emotions. Like if Master Horricus is defeated but escapes, it could represent a danger passing with the potential to come back. Or if Shinning star supposedly dies, it could represent a loss of hope.

Believe it or not, I’m actually serious about all this. I wanted to establish a ”do what you can where you can” theme. Sherpa, Caber and their group didn’t become famous, they weren’t the most powerful heroes. They changed history but not in a direct noticeable way. I’m just tired of all the super dooper protagonists who have the whole world revolve around them. You know what I’m talking about.

Um, sorry for the double post, but I have a schedule I want to keep up. This si the second page, the one after this won't have so many words, I promise.

Griffin
Posted Image
Behrouz Tehrani. Owns a sporadically effective, busted up battle suit that provides strength, flight, and a sonic screech. An Iranian born from a secret affair. Years later, the affair was discovered, the woman was killed and Behrouz was chased out of town. Thinking himself already damned, he takes the griffin suit from a dying super villain and starts off a criminal career. A bit later, Griffin is sent by Dreambreaker to deliver the Sherpa suit in America, but dropped it when under attack by Hospitaller. Later on, while encountering and tracking down the new suited Santosh, Behrouz felt responsible for how he became, and almost thought of him as a little brother. Despite fighting them a few times, Griffin joins the Hobo Horde, with Santosh vouching for him saying “I’d rather have a new friend than an old enemy”. Later on, Griffin is killed in the war by an old villain rival.

Hospitaller
Posted Image
Templars get way too much attention. Anyway, Hospitaller is a fanatical catholic vigilante and was an ally of the old Sherpa hero. Hospitaller had been equally concerned with helping and protecting victims as well as punishing perpetrators. But since the old Sherpa’s death, he became more vindictive. It was he who attacked riffinand disrupted the suit’s delivery. It was he who bombed Sherpa’s house after he found the suit. Hospitaller goes on to attack Santosh more times, seeing him as an abomination. At one point Santosh gets the chance to kill Hospitaller, but dosn’, feeling that he’s a good man who needs to let go of anger/prejudice. Hospitaller’s reaction to this is left up to the reader’s interpretation.

Sergeant Quippert
Posted Image
Matthew Brodgrick. Super eyesight, excellent marksmanship, is like Adolphus, from the adventures of Baron Munchausen. His father was a cop killed by a super villain, which left him embittered towards super humanity in general. Matthew got his powers through chemistry experiments, a sort of reference to various 1940’s superheroes who got their powers through chemistry. He mostly used rubber bullets or tranquilizers. He was the least accepting of Griffin joining the team, and the least forgiving of Sherpa killing Iconoclast, yet was interestingly quick to take up a kill or be killed mentality during the hero-villain war. When the Chrome Class was shut down, he was one of the students captured. Matthew was conditioned to be a government assassin, and was poisoned, so if he didn’t report in every 3 days he’d die. The Hobo Horde helps him, with Shaniqua modifying Skeet’s power so it drains out the poison, then transfers it to Santosh who’s healing factor can handle the poison. But even after that, Matthew didn’t like or trust Santosh, and did not join the others when they went to rescue him near the end.

Shaniqua Jameson
Posted Image
I thought it would be funny to have a black ghettoish mad scientist. Shaniqua was the one who created Skeet’s wing pack, and had worked with the Chrome class until they discovered her criminal record. Shaniqua is famous for her nack for improvising, being able to substitute high tech expensive stuff for ordinary objects (but these may not work as well or for as long). Later on she helped the Hobo Horde a few times with some reluctance. In the war Shaniqua was initially on the villain side, but reveals an important secret to the Hobo Horde. The villain army was divided into squads, each squad leader had a chip in his brain that allowed them to hypnotically oppress dissent in the ranks. Destroying the control tower was a major point in beating the villains. Shaniqua dies during the assault.

Nittaya Cunningham
Posted Image
I like children who act like adults. Elva from Eragon, Alia from Dune, Heloise from Jimmy Two Shoes, and of course Artemis Fowl. Nittaya is a young Siamese super genius who has explored other dimensions, saved entire races, and built up criminal/corporate empires. Her constant companion is the strong hulking Bahjarki who owes her a life debt. Nittaya first met the Hobo Horde rescuing them from Dreambreaker’s captivity. She was delivering Danielle to her order as part of some deal they made. Later on Nittaya aids the hero side of the war as part of a government contract. But when Dreambreaker had killed Bahjarki-one of her few friends, it became personal. She helped the Hobo Horde find the old sherpa hero and bring them to Dreambreaker’s lair.

Killer Khan
Posted Image
Stength, reflexes, resistant to temperature extremes, can go for a long time without food, water, air. A foe of the original Sherpa hero. He was born with powers, but for much of his life he lived peacefully in his village. But then his daughter moved into the city and took up with a gangster who manipulated him into becoming muscle. A bunch of years of criminal career later, Killer Khan encounters Santosh wearing the suit of his honorable old foe, and is quick to call him an usurper/thief/etc. But gradually he respects Santosh as a worthy combatant. In the hero-villain war he was assigned to guard a crucial area, but then lets the Hobo Horde pass after receiving a letter that said his daughter died.

Jeremiah Jerdington
Posted Image
A longtime member of Danielle’s order, he was frequently at logger heads with Sartch senior. Eventually he kills Sartch in a violent schism and forms a cult-like division. Danielle and her brother were then raised and trained separately in hiding for their safety. Years later when Danielle is introduced to the order, Jerdington launches an attack but is badly thwarted and forced on the run. Later on, he makes a deal with Pokerface to capture Danielle and lure the rest of the Horde away from his operations,in exchange for a power increasing relic. In the ensuing battle, Jerdington had a special sacrificial knife that would complete a summoning spell the moment it touched natural flesh. However, it hit Sherpa’s clone body, thus making the spell backfire and kill Jerdington. But then Jerdington’s “god” came forth and turned out to be just a cosmic being who liked attention. In anger, he sends Sherpa, Skeet, Griffin, and Shaniqua to a far away planet, but looked like he disintegrated them to the rest of the team.

Iconoclast
Posted Image
Randomly projects hard bone shards from his body. Above average strength and durability, limited regeneration. A serial killer aptly named iconoclast because he scars the faces of his victims, and has a fascination with masked heroes. Fights Sherpa in a vacant building under construction, and eventually winds up hanging from a rope several stories up. And he’s all “yay, I can rest up a bit in jail then start the fun killing games all over again”. This angers Sherpa who then cuts the rope, letting him fall to his death “oh no, the rope broke I was too late to save him”. This is the first of the few times Sherpa killed someone, he reasoned that it was the logical thing to do to prevent more deaths.

Murhvgog the Mechanical Vampire
Posted Image
I’m tired of all the pretty boy anti hero vampires, I want a good ‘ol fashion monster vampire. He’s like a cross between Count Orlock and Night Trap’s Augers (I liked the idea of vampires using mechanical devices to drain blood). A henchman to dream breaker, he had agreed to getting changed to avenge some friend/lover/sister, or it was a false memory implanted. Left up to the reader’s interpretation. Minor character.

Oh well, last page of it.

Cinders
Posted Image
A henchman/victim of Dreambreaker. Minor character. His constant agonizing hunger forces him to consume anything or anyone in sight, and can barely concentrate on anything else. Caber fights him, but accidently kills him with a fire hydrant. The encounter leaves her to question her initial black and white way of thinking.

The Chrome ClassPosted Image
The world's superhuman population has risen alarmingly in the past century.Thoguh some superheroes are still loved by the public, there is growing tension and mistrust against the rest of superhumanity. And so, under the supervision of Ambrose Tennor, the Chrome Class was formed, in which waylaid outcasts would be taught to help society and use their powers for good. The Chrome Class would tackle villains in less covered areas, investigate odd occurances, and clean up work on battle sites. Unfortunatly, the Chrome Class was not always well supported, and other senators saw Ambrose as an optimistic idiot feigning control over a gang of lose cannons. And Santosh killing Iconoclast, and Draug falling under a villain's control did not help things, and so it was closed down.

Discrimi KnightsPosted Image
A group of mercenaries made up of unattractive, mutated outcasts, led by Lord Discrimi. Its an organization of several dozens, these are just the most notable ones. Thoguh a mercenary, Lord Discrimi is concerned about how humanity views metahumans, so he often has to choose between doing whats right (or less evil) and keeping a professional reputation. When the Hobo Horde was wanted, Discrimi was intruiged when they helped some of his knights when they didn't have to. And so he deputized the horde and they did some missions together. But on one mission the horde had to capture some "dangerous aliens". However, they turned out to be just alien school childeren whose bus crashed, so the horde helped them. But Discrimi, having to keep up discipline and a rep, fires them. later on, the Discrimi Knights show up on the hero side of the war.
