possibly the single greatest human being ever to have lived, or at least the one who saved the most people, has died from cancer, and it wasnt even on the news. if this man was given a second silence for everyone he had saved from the start of his career to well beyond it youd never speak again. this wsnt put in the dead celebrity thread cause he wasnt a celebrity, in fact considering what he has done he should be getting far more coverage than the obamessiah and gordon browns gold addicted glass eye. norman borlaug was a hero, and should have his name known forever by everyone so that they can only attempt to emulate his greatness.

Yup -- but then, how often are the Truly Great recognized in their own times?

Perhaps if he'd done it while getting blown by a parade of Third-World beauties who
existed because they were able to eat healthily as a result of his works....
