Sigh. P*********y related, I assume?

What type of "crimes", if I may ask? What, the average citizen is all of a sudden the bad guy?

I wouldn't be faltered by this. Download away.

Pertinacity related, yes. They're certainly being persistent about it. :P

There's too many of these stories floating about. So long as you aren't doing anything to threaten national security, just ignore it. If they think they're going after torrenters, they'll have to grab all the kids and tweens who are using BearShare and the like.

You should see what the Australian government is trying to put through. Thankfully, due to a single ISP pretty much controlling the internet service and not wanting to be crippled by China-style filters, it's not happening.

You might want to add Germany to the list given they're back on the news blocking and suing retailers of violent videogames, even if they are not in the country. This being part of their plans to block the complete development, publication and sale of any violent videogames in Germany.

Chasing profitable businesses out of the country during a recession.

Yeah, that's gonna go down well.

As a German, I can confirm this. They've gone crazy, probably due to the elections. Our only hope is that they won't keep their promises and do any of these bans. They made lots of people here vote for the Pirate Party though, so that's awesome.
