New trailer is up for next Saturday's Easter special! Looks a bit Pitch Black , what with the alien desert, and the load of flying carnivorous looking things, though I wonder what The Fly is doing in there? |

I bet we'll see some Whoface as well. You know, there's loads of faces Tennant pulls quickly over and over, just look out for them. |

I misread the name as John Sheppard and left me wondering what adventures a Doctor Who team is settling down in an ancient city connected via stargates. More of the same I suspect. |

Well I enjoyed it as a nicely contained quick adventure doctor fix for the fans. The only bit that really intrigues me is the warning of the return from the darkness who comes knocking 4 times. That and Lee Evans which I was surprised about. As for Doctor Anime, saw it before and was awesome. Only further adds to disappointment that that's pretty much you'll ever see majority of the time |

Lee Evans > *. I'd be watching the part of Confidential I missed from watching Red Dwarf, but my recorder decided to not record me any audio. Thanks, SCART cables. Thables. Edit: So, what, did my brain decide to exclude the existance of iPlayer? Anyway, episode was alright. Kept my full attention, apart from right at the start. "We're a professional security team who's not going to look at the object we're guarding hurrrrrrrrrr" |

Well, that turned out pretty good, nice self contained storyline with some neat touches, like Lee Evan's character basically being a complete fanboy, and bonus points for the Quatermass reference. As a die hard fan, I can't help but notice touches of the classic series, like how the swarm's life cycle is kind of like the Nimon in the Horns of Nimon, or mention of the Giant Robot. Fun little episode, and I did like the fore-shadowing (the Doctor's song is almost over- like the Ood said. Also, no prizes for guessing who will "knock four times") Next special, The Waters of Mars... I wonder if that's why the Ice Warriors left the planet? Also, that's the Cloister Bell in the trailer, suggesting something bad may happen to the TARDIS in it... |

i'm surprised none of you noticed that the plot and some events are almost identical to the langoliers (almost meaning that the enemy arn't meatballs anymore lol). it was a pretty cool ep though. |

I'm most shocked no-one has mentioned the unspeakably bad acting from the female UNIT officer. Doctor. We. Must. Close. The. Wormhole. Code. Red. All. Units. Open. Fire. What. Do. You. Mean. Doctor? I. Can. Act. Well. |

I loved how all the soldiers at the shootouts' fire-acting was bad. Watching them fire a couple of rounds then do a snap-switch to another target somewhere completely different was hilarious. I think there was one guy doing it right, following an invisible line in the air and firing occasionally, but the others were 'Point somewhere! Shoot! Point somewhere! Shoot!'. |

It's like in those old Ray Harryhausen movies, where the stop motion monsters always fought in a weird way to match the frantic sword flailing the actors on set did. I'm not sure if it's better or worse than the old school UNIT tactics of stand still and pointlessly shoot at the very slow bullet proof monster and wait for it to (eventually) get close enough to kill you. Incidentally, it's beginning to look like we're going to have to wait until about November till the rest of the specials. Oh well, at least there's plenty of time for fan speculation about whether or not the Ice Warriors or Sutekh will have anything to do with "The Waters of Mars". |
