Wow, just got out of a preview screening, and it was great! Now, I admit I'm kind of biased given my love for the old school 50s b-movies this was based on, but all the characters, although clearly take offs of some of the classic creatures, they had enough personality and character touches to make them unique. I was really impressed on how they based a character on one of the worst b-movies ever, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, and made her a great lead, though Hugh Laurie does get a real lion's share of funny moments as Dr. Cockroach (pHD). Also, the 3D effects are just incredible, they really add to it, and it's really appropriate given how many of the films this borrows from were 3D too. All in all, Dreamworks Animation has really grown in leaps and bounds recently, what with last year's Kung Fu Panda (now that would have been great in 3d), and now this, it's well worth a look, and definitely so on the big screen, the 3D's the icing on the cake.

So far, most reviews say they did a good job on the film, so I'm eager to check it out.;

If I see this, it'll just be for Stephen Colbert as the President.

Also, I have no interest in this 3D garbage. Crummy gimmick. Kids these days.

Yeah, not big on the 3D either, but I'll give it a go if the opportunity comes up. What can I say, I dig those tacky glasses.

Looks like en enjoyable flick at the least. Dreamworks has really lifted their game.

I really need to check this out. Good animation movies always get me excited.

Space Chimps was an exception. That movie just pissed me off so much... I hate it.

LG and I saw it IMAX on Friday. We'd seen Coraline the night before in 3D, and (apart from MvsA being a more enjoyable film overall) the 3D seems to work better with the higher clarity of IMAX.

But yeah, really funny, lots of great laugh out loud bits. LG says to mention the Thunderbirds reference near the start that only she seemed to get... I wouldn't know, they took forever at the concessions stand and I missed the beginning...

I'll see it maybe. My friend works at a movie theater and since this flick has come out all he really says is, "I hate kids." Poor guy.

My friend, someone needs to tell him about Tyler Durden.

He knows, but he's not a projectionist. Besides all of the projectors are digital now, so that kind of mischief which you are hinting at becomes much harder.

Finally watched it, and I quite enjoyed it, loved the homages and references about, and the jokes were actually funny. Even the voice acting was adequate for the job.

Watched it in IMAX 3D. It was awesome. Seth Rogen stole the show as usual, but I have to say that my favorite character was Dr. Cockroach. If you can, go see it in IMAX 3D, but if you can't the film is still recommended.

Watched it in 3D just now too. It was okay, though not really that special. Maybe I just need to learn to roll with the cheese.

Just got back from watching this. Not the best Dreamworks pic but funny enough. Bob stole the show as did Keifer Sutherland's General.

Though I want an Insectasaurus plushie.
