So the other day, I'm at Borders, and among the new releases on the shelf for music CDs is the soundtrack to Halo Wars. So, I decided to get a copy. For someone who's never even played the game, I like the music quite a bit. The usual composers behind Halo, Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori, aren't behind this particular music (Bungie didn't do this game, so instead they got this other composer, Stephen Rippy). While he does make use of the usual theme in the beginning, he takes the music in a slightly different direction which is still great. By the time Halo 3 came out, some of the familiar musical tunes, as great as they are, were getting a little stale, so this may have been a good move to make. Just out of curiosity, how many of us here have or own the soundtracks to any of the Halo games? |

Yep, got all three, and they're all dynamite in disc format. I'm not going to look into the Wars soundtrack until I've played through the game: all my game soundtracks are based on the fact that I like remembering them. |

Same, got all soundtracks. Though I end up just listening to the Hoobastank exclusive song that was made for Halo....2 I believe. |

Yeah, Connected was for Halo 2... but was never used in-game anywhere. Nor was the Nile Rodgers mix. Can't say I like either of them that much. I remember booting up Halo 2 and sitting listening to In Amber Clad, simply because the CD version doesn't loop. |
