Asus' Eee PC is quickly becoming popular; there's loads at my college, they're perfect for notetaking, cheap as, and all the ladies think they're cute. What do you guys think? |

Too small. If I tried to use one of those, my CS headshot proportion would plummet, and that's the be all and end all of life. |

Odds are it won't run WoW to my satisfaction. Thus, I don't give tuppence. |

I've seen one at college running WoW (the graphics options are actually pretty good since it only needs to cater for a small resolution screen), and seen one running a variety of emulators (which is my possible attraction to it). |

Looks like much more of a work computer/quasi-PDA than a gaming system, though as above it might make be good for retro or low-end games. Great for schools, offices and Third World countries but not so much for us nerdmasters. |

How pointless. I'm going back to saving for a GP2X. |

Just get a Blackberry; that's all this thing really is, an oversized PDA. It's just another thing for us to jam into bags and purses. I'd rather have some sort of Palm Pilot that can fit in a pocket than lug that heavy and overcumbersome thing around... Just my two pennies. |

The Eee has a spec of a low-end laptop, and it's not particularly cumbersome, I've held short novels that are heavier: it's the size of an A4 sheet of paper folded in half, and the weight of a bag of sugar. I'd be quite happy with it strapped to my back =D |

Storage Capacity? Crap. i though that was the idea of a laptop. To take a fairly decent amount of data with you that you can access whenever you're ready. |

The Eee has a surprising amount of physical space inside the casing, it's almost as if Asus want you to mod it. My friend's put on 2 more 2"5 drives, so his capacity is now 36gb, along with his USB memory which he keeps files and standalone apps on, he's looking at 100gb at least. He's also done 2 USb hubs and an FM transmitter Also, check this mod. (Not my friend's) |

Yeah, but you may as well get a proper laptop, rather than splash out for extra storage and lesser processor speeds/resolutions. |

That's what I'd do as well, but if you need it to be small, then it's ideal. Also, it's insanely cheap for how powerful it is, and it boots up in about 7 seconds. |

Uh... I bought one, cheap, (less than half the RRP cheap) off a mate who bought one and didn't want it any more. What I liked about it was the E-book reader. Eh. It's all right. |
