Twenty five years ago, an entire generation suffered as one one of the worst Christmas Days in history, as they all felt shock, fear, betrayal, and hatred as one, in an event that had massive repercussions in it's industry, is still talked about in hushed tones to this very day, and left a scar on so many young minds. I am of course referring to all those who were hideously and maliciously conned and mislead, by adverts such as this into experiencing a trauma that should have had no part in the festive season. So please everyone, while on Tuesday next week you enjoy your turkey and the Doctor Who Christmas special, please give a moment of thought to those poor souls, who were left bitter and cynical wrecks, after what should have been the most wondeful time of the year. Thank you.

If I had been alive then, I'm sure it would have been awful.

I have, however, seen gameplay from this. It's hilariously, hilariously bad.

Never been more appropriate. I think.

May we never forget why movie games are, always have and always will be irredeemably terrible.

I'll try to understand the pain. However, I am socially inept and a young whippersnapper and not exactly the best person to ask for a good video game.

I don't think you get how much of a disaster it was, hatred of this game grew so fast by those who played, and the word of mouth about it's awfullness spread so quickly, that kids wouldn't accept it if you gave it to them for free (and bear in mind kids will haggle with each other over getting a dead spider in a matchbox). Stores were overwhealmed with returns, and the company were left short of thousands upon thousands of dollars in development costs, and with tonnes upon tonnes of cartrages that no-one would take even if it came with free blowjobs, pudding and Belgium. Somewhere in the Nevada desert is a mass grave of all the cartrages (I shit you not! They actually buried all of them and covered them in concrete!). This one game caused the great Video Game crash, when the industry nearly disappeared forever. That's why it's so hated, it nearly destroyed the whole video game culture before it even started!

And know you know. And knowing is half the battle!

....Holy shit.

In that case, I CAN feel for gamers who were around during that time.

Indeed. I live about 1,667 miles away from the infamous landfill. But sometimes, on very quiet nights, I can hear thumping coming from it's direction. It's like it's alive, but not alive. Just beyond the senses. It calls to me, urging me on. But I am not swayed. I have seen it's cacophony and the horror that it truly is. I know that the concrete will not keep it contained forever. That it will escape and be the ultimate damnation of humanity. I just hope when that happens I am long gone from this world.

I was one year old when that game came out... I remember playing it when I was about 8 years old and one of my parents' friends' house.

It was really crappy; I kept falling into the same hole, and could never get out... that's what I remember.

There isn't anything more to remember, you've literally just described the entire gaming experience, no joking, controls and programmming was so bad, that's really all it was. And they honestly thought people wouldn't be pissed of when they realised how much they spent on it.
