Has anyone ever taken a Myers-Briggs test? Take the test, the post your personality type here in white as not to influence others, using the ([)color=white(]) tag (minus the regular brackets). There's a Wikipedia article for each personality type, just search using the four letters. I'm an INTJ, apparantly found in only 1% of the population. Everything in the Wiki article describes me perfectly, I found it slightly strange, but re-assuring. 'Mastermind Rational', heh. |

Does the colour input on this board's BB code accept hex codes for colours? If so, it's easier to spoiler Apparently, I'm ISTP. Personally, I'm wary of any 'personality test' but I'm also aware that Jung is supposedly a very good psychologist (I sware, I'll get round to reading my Jung book one day!) so I'll take this test with a pinch of salt until I get round to studying it more. However, I do like the lines "they are authoritarian in their interactions with others and can be forceful at influencing people. They focus on accomplishing tasks efficiently and skillfully." and "They are notorious for taking apart devices to "see what makes them tick", before consideration as to whether they can put them back together.". The latter I've had to curtail ever since I realised things cost money. |

Generally don't take these tests too seriosly, but considering the support and large belief of this guy, the result does feel a bit similar to my personality. I'm labelled as a ISTJ. I'm apparently therefore labelled as the Inspector Guardians of this test. This is the general description on wiki: "In general, the ISTJ has a tremendous amount of potential. Capable, logical, reasonable, and effective individuals with a deeply driven desire to promote security and peaceful living, the ISTJ has what it takes to be highly effective at achieving their chosen goals - whatever those may be." |

Intruiging test. Like Jeff says though, I'll take it with a pinch of metaphorical salt. These things always make me a little dubious - besides, some of those questions never seem to apply very well. Regardles. Apparantly, I come out as an INTP. Interesting read, and it does seem to have -some- similarites, certainly, but I question whether all of it is right - not all of it has come up before, after all. Though the quote; "An INTP will frequently puzzle over a problem for hours on end, then in an instant have the answer suddenly crystallize in their mind in a flash of insight" -does- well describe my character creation approach, if nothing else. |

INTJ. Not at all surprising, considering that they categorized personality types and created a questionnaire that would lead to one of those categories. |

ISTP as well. Again, normally very wary of these test things, but damn that thing completely nailed me :o "Suited for engineering," well guess which degree I'm doing. "Impulsive leap-before-look" and "closet daredevil," very true. I also sawed my bike in half to weld it back together chopper-style; the current situation is probably most politely described as 'work in progress' :P |

72 questions!? Urgh... ISTJ for me. The career indicator gave me mechanical type jobs, which is funny since that's exactly what I'm into and I'm taking an engineering course at uni. |

Yes, it does, but I wouldn't call that easier, since you have to find each hex, then figure out which of the two shades your post will have. White is easier, hex codes are more thoroughly hidden. ISTP. Interesting to note: so far, we're all introverts. Interesting, but not surprsing, since if you were an extrovert, you'd probably be out living a social life instead of posting on an internet forum.
Oh man. I totally used to do that when I was a kid. I'd often find what was broken with my toys, but lack the means to fix it, so it would never get put back together. These days, I hold back on it too. When something's broken, my instinct is still to take apart, but only to prod around, and I try to ensure it'll go back together. I have fixed things by doing that. Overall quite a lot of the description hits close to home. Individuals can never be completely catergorised though, so it's unsurprising the types won't describe any of us 100%. "But contrary to their seemingly detached natures, ISTPs are often capable of humorously insightful observations about the world around them," I like to think so. "and can be closet "daredevils" who gravitate toward fast-moving and/or risky hobbies (such as bungee jumping, hang gliding, motorcycling, parachuting, SCUBA diving, etc.), recreational sports (such as downhill skiing, ice hockey, racing, etc.), and careers (such as aviation, firefighting, etc.)." I was less sure of that. But then I realised it's true to an extent. I like games like Sonic and Burnout, and the '100 Mile Dash' scene in The Incredibles is exhilirating. I like rollercoasters, and I like the hardcore genre of music and the ridiculously fast tempos therein. Because I am a closet Speed Freek. |

Took it, says i'm INTJ. I would say that it describes me. INTJs are strong individualists who seek new angles or novel ways of looking at things. They enjoy coming to new understandings. They are insightful and mentally quick; however, this mental quickness may not always be outwardly apparent to others since they keep a great deal to themselves. They are very determined people who trust their vision of the possibilities, regardless of what others think. They may even be considered the most independent of all of the sixteen personality types. INTJs are at their best in quietly and firmly developing their ideas, theories, and principles. (Taken from wikipedia) |

Hmmm... ESTJ I'm an extrovert. :\ "Referring to Keirsey, ESTJs belong to the temperament of the guardians and are called "Supervisors"." Supervisor? hmmm.. "ESTJs are practical, realistic, and matter-of-fact, with a natural head for business or mechanics. Though they are not interested in subjects they see no use for, they can apply themselves when necessary. They like to organize and run activities. ESTJs make good administrators, especially if they remember to consider others' feelings and points of view, which they often miss." I agree with this. I disliked french as I found it useless. I also find studying various forms of basic rather useless, as all coding is done in Java and C++(rarely). |

Apparently, there are quite a few of us on ExterminatusNow. :S INTJ. I too am a rare Mastermind Rational. I think they must flock to web forums or something, considering how many there are on here. Says here I'm good for Natural Science... lucky considering that's my chosen area of study :) I usually take these tests with a pinch of salt like everyone else, but it seems quite accurate. However, I remain a little cynical. The results of this test won't exactly change my life, will they? But yes. Interesting test. :) |

I have no idea how to get it white, but here it goes! Hmmm... I'm an ISTJ (Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging) kind of person. I'm not so sure that this was a good test though, because there are some questions where I wanted to answer "Maybe" or "depends on the situation". I had to laugh when "administration" came up; that's what I went to college to become: a super-secretary! But when it comes to management, I have my doubts. The first write-up, "Portrait of the Inspector" was completely wrong on a LOT of points for me. The second is a lot closer, but still somewhat off the mark. I guess that I wasn't honest enough with the questions, or maybe there just wasn't enough of them to make a better match? Still, it was interesting! YAY! I'm not COMPLETELY inept at some internet things! WHEEEEEEEE! |
