Yeah, it's just Touch Rugby here. That's another point, though: no American Football here, no room for both. Rugby or nowt.

Some 86,000 would disagree with you.

Arguable if it would retain the popularity if it were more than a once-a-year novelty. But I still love the idea of a London NFL franchise. The coaches and players all hate the idea of flying over to play. But as a fan, I can imagine nothing cooler. It doesn't have to be massively popular, because there'd just be one team for every gridiron fan in the whole UK to support. I'm willing to bet, going by the above picture, that a London team could fill more seats than my poor friends in Jacksonville.

I meant it in the terms that when a kid over here picks up an egg-shaped ball to play with, he plays rugby, and the same with American Football over there. We've got 6 of one, we don't need half a dozen of the other (in terms of a league, a one off is a great idea).

[Any relevance to you showing a Panthers game? =P ]

I've actually got a few cousins who play American football.

In the UK, or the US? I'm maddeningly curious as to the state of the sport in the UK, and I wish there'd be more exchange. I saw a group of Indian gents on campus playing cricket a while back, but in general, you couldn't find wickets here anywhere except maybe e-Bay.

Also, our flag football team won this week, yay. I just wanted to say that. :P (I'm second on the roster there.)

You've been on this forum ever since I joined- as a moderator no less- and still haven't figured out that I'm Australian? :P

I'm not really surprised that people other than Americans love the NFL, I just really wish I didn't exist. But that's my opinion. It's not even that great a sport, I find more pleasure in throwing a rock down a sheet of ice. Curling FTW. :P

Brain fart, although that still doesn't necessarily say where your -cousins- live. :P

Apparently there's multiple gridiron teams just in the Adelaide area.

I guess it's the Aussie pride, we HAVE to be good at every single sport we possibly can. Even at the Winter Olympics where we rely almost entirely on luck.

Actually, there's several ARF teams in the US -- just no pro leagues.

Side note: One of the people who led the effort to retake United Flight 93 was a
member of one of these teams... specifically, a member of an all-homosexual team
based in the San Francisco Bay area. I Shit You Not.
