Time traveller other than the Doctor? Fine, I'll do Arthur Dent, that's a fairly easy costume to throw together.

Good thinking, but the look Rod Tyler who played him in the 60s movie had (smoking jacket, cravat etc.) is more than a little Doctor Who ish, but still kind of distinct. Also, in my opinion, that movie had the best looking time machine ever.

I mean, c'mon, look at it, it just screams "I'm a Time Machine"!

Looks more like a fancy Victorian swamp runner to me.

But at least he had the brains to put in a comfy chair. Seriously, that thing is stylish.

That's it, time for a 'coolest looking time machine' competition. DeLorean, TARDIS, bathtub with a Simple Simon attached?

You need a trip to classic great films of all time my friend. and I'm not talking about the 2002 remake either. I'm talking the 1960 classic. Still a great film to watch if you see it on TV.

What about the movie with the modern phonebox thing that drops down to move through time. Or was that something else? It had Keanu Reaves in it.

I remember a weird cartoon that had characters travelling through time and space and fiction and stuff in a couple of phone boxes. As I said, was weird. Had some guy called Rufus.

Bill and Ted, a classic pair of movies and a kinda pants cartoon show (as tradition entails must come with any actuall decent PG rated movie in the 90s) is what you both speak of. And yes, that was Keanu Reeves as Ted Theodore Logan.

You...do not know the blessed words of Bill s Preston and Theodore Logan?

That is not excellent!

Dress as Einstein. When someone challenges you he wasn't a time traveller point them to the historical documentary Command and Conquer:Red Alert

My nomination for "best time travel method ever" would have to be Barry the Talking Time Sprout.

Just a little reminder that this momentus event is going to be next Saturday, so if you haven't already got your look worked out, better think of something! Let's see if this can become a proper tradition, every year huge numbers of eccentrically dressed people going into McDonalds asking for Soylent Green, going "NNNNNNOOOOO!!!!!" in front of statues, or just doing the old classic "Where am I? What year is this? Who's the president? ARRGH!" routine.

I wonder how many people will decide to dress up like the Master, pretend to be the prime minister, take over the world and dance to Scisser Sisters.

Oh wait...

Heh, Kevin Rudd? He's pretty cool and has been compared to The Master.
