"I want Jeremy Clarkson's baby!"

A quote from a friend of mine. I echo the sentiment.

"I won't go to Stringfellow's tonight, I'll get my mum to give me a lap dance, she's a woman"

Got to love the Clarkson with the coolest job in the world, driving cool cars and smashing up others to see how they work, if he still did Robot Wars he'd have just about every great TV job

When on earth did Clarkson do Robot Wars?

Anyways, you got to love his tip in the end.

"If you plan on invading a country, use a tank."

There have been some excellent ideas on Top Gear before, but I have to say that tops the list. A tank versus a Range Rover indeed!

Oh, and as you've mentioned him, does anyone know what Craig Charles has been up to lately, or is his career pretty much finished?

Seems he's in Coronation street as a taxi driver called Lloyd, though apparently hes still a DJ on BBC 6 Music.

Though theres also that elusive Red Drawf movie you know.....

Vigilante: Ah, the first series, never seen the first one, prob explains why i didnt know.

First i heard of him was that my mum while doing work for Children in Need met him at a charity monopoly tournament (don't ask, i don't know...), as for now i think just Robot Wars and Corrie on his schedule (the Red Dwarf movie won't happen, will be either a new series or will just die with the dignity it deserves)

Jeffk38uk: Don't matter, but still prefered Clarkson over Charles even after all this time :D

I thought Robot Wars finished after Channel 5 took the rights for the series? Remember it was done for one season and then it disappeared or something.

After all this time? Considering Craig did the rest of the seasons (8) he must have did a hell of a job to keep your devotion.

Well Clarkson is Clarkson, there is no equal. But sadly yes Robot Wars has gone into decline, was much more fun watching several cobbled together pieces of junk just smash each other apart than the newer "could probably nuke you from the other side of the arena" bots

Are we all forgetting the original robot gutter? Mortis! First series they ran in and PELTED their opponent, sure they lost, but it was by far the first "uber killy" robot on the program.

But more onto topic, I could not stop laughing.

"He's going in circles the bastard!"

Mortis was hilariously bad, considering he cost at least £10,000. It was bleeding-edge in that it had the most advanced materials and components, but I think its failure was down to the fact whoever was driving was shit.

I think £2000 of that went on the controller... -_-

@ RetroGamer: Yeah that was good, you could be good at mainly one of three things, flipping, crushing or smashing. Chaos 2 was the best flipper, Razor walks away with crushing hands down and for smashing...Hypno Disk :D

Heh, good times. Now youll be lucky to find any episodes of RW around at all.

Im pretty sure we're supposed to discuss something else though. Something quite large, tracks and can blow off the side of a house?

Sir Killalot?

Yeah the tank was great, Clarkson must have planned it out alot before hand because he pulled off some great driving, he would have been blown up but still he kept safe for a long time

Heh, unless they added a rocket pack expansion, i doubt sir killalot can blow up a house.

I remember this episode when it came out and for some reason my dad instantly wanted a range rover sport but he sadly did not get one. Top Gear is one of my favourite shows out there. Also did anyone see the winter Olympics special? I mean how funny was that, just watching them fall over and slide down slopes. The funniest bit was when Hammond built the barricade in the wrong place.

Oh yeh, his reaction was just hilarious. The mini rocketing down was too cool though.

Another funny bit was the bit near the end of the was with the jaguar

"On the note of hammond, your car's got its teeth whitened."
