I recently had to buy a new phone because the old one's cord fucking fell out yesterday right when I was talking to One of my Unit Sergeants. I figured since I have that $50 from G-rap, I'd go get a new one. While at Rite Aid, I saw some cheap speakers, with "new flat panel technology, perfectly duplicated MP3 and CD sound!" My current speakers are arounf four years old, the left one only works when you put the volume at a very certain setting, which changes all the time, and they only work when i plug them into another set of speakers for some reason. also, my cat keeps knocking them on the floor, which is probably the cause of the problems right there. fucking cat. so I got them home, payed around twenty-five dollars in all. the phone works. that's all I have to say about it. It's not the best, but I have no alternative. The speakers, however. weren't worth the raw materials wasted in their production. They rattled at EVERY volume level. You can find better speakers on a gameboy. not the new DS, I mean the origional gameboy. They pick up radio signals when placed on a metal table. the front grills weren't even fucking attached and were held in place by friction alond, and not much friction was present. when i plugged them in my computer died. I didn't even think that was possible. I don't know who QC Inspector #38 is, but he should be dragged out into the street and shot. |

I found out the hard way that some things just need to have more spent on them to be worth a damn, speakers being chief among them. I learned this when I bought a dirt-cheap 2.1 for like $15. Any bass at all, ANY bass, would send the subwoofer into convulsions and make it blat really loud until the whole set was turned off. So I took them back and spent $50 on a Creative 2.1 set. It's functional, it's deep, it does what I need without screaming back at me in low-pitched tones. So yeah, sometimes being frugal bites you in the ass. |
