Winter-een-mas finishes tomorrow (well in 23 hours as I type this). Have you done anything for it? Did you praise your favourite developers? Or was it a normal week for you, i.e. play games until your eyes bleed ?

Keeping to the spirit of WEM here's my Blog posts for my top three developers.

3. Capcom
2. Nintendo
1. SEGA

I celebrated ( as much as you can with coursework anyway) by a bountiful booty of mmorpg gaming. Mainly Maplestory, Rose Online and PSO while remembering the developers who made it all possible.

Hell, I didn't even know about this. Probably because I was at the GYM WORKING OUT! Or I might've been SOCIALIZING WITH FREINDS! But if I heard about it, I woulda done somethin...

Just a celebration of gaming on a whole. Runs over a period of a one or two weeks? I forget.

first of all +50% respect for your support of sega saturn magazine...they were the only games magazine i purchased who didnt lead me wrong ever...

secondly my winter een mas consisted of its usual honourable celebration. I select 3 *classic* games in my view on play them glorously and then for no real reason except my suddon burst of fandom i sign up to whatever fansite i could find.

this year it was the Shenmue games. (hence my earlier rant.

Panzer dragoon 1, 2 and Orta (Saga is notoriously difficult to get)

and Sonic 2.

A sonic game always gets in...no matter what. (funnily enough before i discovered winter een mas this is what i did every january anyway...too goddamn cold...)

on a quick note the sonic games get special attention because i see how quickly i can complete them. (1+2 can just be done under a hour each. sonic 3 hour and a half and sonic 3 with knuckles 2 hours and a bit...thats with all emeralds)

p.s where did you get the scrap brain ringtone?

I made a shiny lake in unrealed (along with nice scenery) then drove a bulldog through it just to see the reflection ripple.

I'm very happy now :D

I hugged my big pile of GameCube and XBOX games (I was either celebrating or i was drunk...i cant remember which possibly both), picking out Capcom games and giving them individual hugs (except Devil May Cry in which i through at something (possibly my dog)).

I enjoyed it non-the-less

I admit I didn't do much... about the only thing I can name (aside from gaming well into the early morning hours, but I do that all the time) would be not throwing away a pretty decent game on account of the thing crashing the comp on exit.

What's the standard Winter-een-mas celebration supposed to be, anyway? I'm a bit new to the whole thing.

I downloaded the midi file from Sonic HQ/www.vgmusic.com (can't remember which), Uploaded it to my webspace and entered the URL in my WAP browser.

If you didn't know Midi files = ringtones. Although not all work this one did. I tried Live n Learn and Open your heart midi files but they didn't work.

You can pop this in your WAP browser if you like http://twinseeds.homestead.com/files/sbgg.mid

Or Sky base which is Skyb.mid

The Sonic title theme came from Arcadetones, which is also free but I've forgotten the URL.
