Now, ya know X-Box live, right?, why not play online for free?

XBC Connect allows you to play games ONLINE for FREE!!!, and best of all, It's LEGAL!!! (No, i'm not lying, really, read for yourself). There are no monthly cost, no hidden cost, no Yearly cost even.

This only works with games that has System Link Feature.

Halo 2 for Free, IIIEEEEE!!!. Time Spilters 2...Now ONLINE!!!. and Tony Hawk's Underground has online for the PS2 Only, but thanks to XBC...PS2 Has met it's Match.

All the instructions are included, and info (Read it if you think it's Illegal).

All's you need is a Computer with any Boardband internet service. any kind of Router or Net Cards (Supports 2 or more connections), or others that can connect Patch cables (Take the X-Box link cable for example). And the XBC Program you have. Set it all up, and your in!

It has a list of games it can support, and most of em use Headset Support.

Now, If ya got the program and want to play me. PM me. chao.

btw, this doesn't require X-Box live to play.

Thing is, Xbox Connect is fucking shit compared to Live. Theres lag in everything, you can't communicate with others players, and good luck finding games as often as on Live.

And its not new, its been out since Halo 1. It basicallys fools the Xbox into thinking it's playing over a LAN.

No offense Lothar but

1) Half the people barly cares about Lag.
2) You can communicate with other players, only some games has that X-Box Microphone feature (Like Halo 2 and Counter Strike)
and 3) There are like tons of Halo 2 games I could find.

1) So? Its still there, and half the people DO care.
2) You can do that on Live and with more features.
3) Yes, but I said try finding as MANY on Xbox Live.

Personally, I'd rather pay the £40 a year for live as its a better quality of service, and not leech the service because some cheap bastards are too fucking tight to pay.

I have to agree with Lothar.
I'd rather pay for a quality service over a half-assed program that could easily die in the middle of a game.
And people don't care about the lag?.... Uhm... That sentance raped my brain.
Try to aim at someone then suddenly you get a lag spike while the other player does not... Your head will be turned into a fine paste.

Besides £40 A YEAR is actually pretty cheap as x-box live is stable and fast and has lots of possible opponents. I may be basically repeating what Lothar said but it's the truth.

well, I'd agree as well, but I don't have that kind of money, and don't ask me to get a job, cause my parents won't let me til we move to texas, and I DO want one btw. and plus, My dad doesn't want to make the payments for XBLive for some reason.

After all, X-Box live came to my mind before this, but this is the alternative I can come up with, til I get a job, I'll probabily see if I can get X-Box Live.

I do have 2 of the 2 month free trails, but I don't know how it works. Mind explaining if it cost when I begin to get it and even have the chance to use the free trail and other stuff I need to know.

and please no body be angry at me, I mean why the hell would I become an idiot?, to abuse someone for the work that they did an excellant job at and say that it sucks or something, or just be offensive to the popular authors. I mean seriously, Don't considder me as an idiot, please.

£40 is only cheap is you plan to play Live! a lot. If you think you're only go to play a couple of months of the 12 it's not cheap it's expensive. For £40 you can get a new game (and a CD online). Besides I hear it's going up to £65.

Things like XBConnect and to a lesser extent warpipe, offer a FREE alternative.

Cheaper but worse service option = XBConnect
Dearer but better service option = Xbox Live!

So there is no right or wrong here.

I know XB Live is better, but like I asked before, does it cost before getting it, and how do I use the free trails I have?. I need to know before asking my dad to get it.

edit: btw, another reason why I must know, my brother and his friend has Live.

You can NOT tell me that you haven't been owned on your host at least once ... the thing is, if your good enough .. lag won't matter... and the fact that its FREE .... if you don't suck at the game and can deal w/ lag then its a great deal....... and look at xbl now... full of cheaters ... argue against that

XBC is full of cheaters as well. And FUCKING LEARN TO USE PROPER SENTENCES.

What the hell does "haven't been owned on your host at least once" even mean? Are you asking if we lost while hosting a game on XBL? Yes of course I have, but I've won plenty too. How does using XBC make you a better player? Because when you host the lag dosen't affect you, allowing you to have an unfair advantage over the other players? Thats called cheating.

And stop putting "..." between all your damn sentences, if you can't use proper grammar and punctuation then why the hell are you trying to type in the first place?

If you define cheaters as "people who are better at the game than you" then yes, there are.

You are in fact still paying the broadband fees, remember. And there is still lag, but it's minimal.
