Right. So me being me, I was sitting down and reading through my regular haunt (Not here, oddly enough) and uncovered the ever-hilarious Cecil debaccle (For the second time). After reading through it, one person mentioned that it'd never happen on World of Warcraft. However, I'd normally disregard this and go back to the funny. But I was compelled to look up more about World of Warcraft, if only to see if I could get to drive one of those huge goblin steam-mechs you could hire in Warcraft 3. It doesn't appear that I can, but I can create a variety of firearms (Shotguns, sniper rifles, and blunderbusses, oh my!), mechanical creatures (Chocobos, squirrels and chickens) and then hunt various creatures down, gut their bodies and sell the remains. The fact I can live quite happily in game as a dwarven hunter and fisherman that dabbles in engineering without going around, killing n00bs and stealing their "phat lewt". However, I am tempted by City of Heroes. It's original, it looks like fun, and I can either be Captain Asskicker (Fighting for truth, justice and the kicking of ass) or the Filthy Chavster (Or one of the Chavtastic Four if anyone else would care to join in :P). Whilst in my eyes it lacks the charm of World of Warcraft, I have more chance of dragging people I know into it. So, any experiences in either? Regardless, I only want advice or thoughts on the above - I'm not interested In FF Online, The Matrix Online, Exerquest, Warhammer Online or any of the others. Just these two. |

Go for City of Heroes, then if you make Filthy Chavster you can have someone become his grotty little sidekick, Burberry(sp?) Boy! Seriously though I don't really know much about City of Heroes, all I've seen about it is one mediocre preview for it a while back, but I have a friend who played in the betas for World of Warcraft and he keeps prattling on about how good it is and how I should get into it. Everyone who has told me about WoW though has sung its praises. You could go with both, but then theres the prospect of double the monthly fees, and you can't dedicate as much time to your character if your playing two games at once, so you'd level up alot slower. Not really helpful I know :P but just a few points I thought I'd throw up |

They'd be under the Chavtastic Four. Bling, Burberry, Fag End and the other one which I forget. It was Lothars gag, and I was too busy prattling on about how everything is controlled by Dr. Dooms indomitable feces. As for the second point, that doesn't worry me. In fact, the level cap in WoW does appeal to me as it means everyone is on a level playing field, and to be as good as Geeky McNolife who does the nine-to-five grind in the game every day won't require me to give up my own social life. |

I heard that City of Heroes wasn't fun that lasted, and that WoW owned. So, WoW. |

Go for both, if you can afford it. But from what I checked out, WOW seems to be that bit better. But hey, since when do you ever get a chance to wear leather and a cape every few hours a day? (lol) |

I'm certainly getting WoW (With my Dwarf Hunter-cum-Engineer-cum-Miner-cum-Fisherman) and I may get CoH (And play as the Filthy Chavster). |

abit offtopic yet not. I'm thinking of getting into mmo games aswell but with me the choice is: World of Warcraft WW2Online: World war 2. 1941. europe. German or British or French...ooooh momma give me a stuka! EVE: Elite online....*droool* Planetside: A fps in a huge scale... Leaning towards ww2 online at the moment. but might be tempted to world of warcraft. |

Don't bother. People are pricks on the ones ive played (Planetside beta, for one) and chances are others are going to be the same. a very small percentile of gamers out there are worth playing with, the rests are a bunch of nasty people with shotguns that barricade thsemlves in a room (Saying no names ;) ) |

I play World of Warcraft (Dulkor the Undead Mage on Feathermoon server, along with various alts to try out the other classes), and I used to play City of Heroes. Honestly, I have to say that between the two, WoW is much, MUCH better overall, even though CoH can be fun. |
