This is a fine game right here. Kojima definitely knows how to make new gameplay elements work, i.e. food and cure. The game also forces you to be consistent to the previous games.

Example: In the beginning, you meet Ocelot and basically knock him out (during a cutscene). If you kill him while he's unconscious, you'll get an "Ocelot is dead" game over message, and the colonel yells "SNAKE!! You can't do that! You'll create a time paradox!!" Pretty funny.

Also kind of odd, if you leave the game over screen on for a while, the letters start to morph. When it finishes, it spells out "TIME PARADOX" and the colors invert. It makes no difference when you're actually dead, but if you take a fake death pill to avoid actually dying, if you don't take the revival pill, and it spells out TIME PARADOX, you won't be able to wake up again. Pretty weird.

For some reason, the whole game is feeling like a giant movie. After I get through with some action, and it goes to a cutscene, it takes like a half an hour before you get to play again. The cutscenes look pretty solid, though.

Also, the R1 function is pretty neat during cutscenes. When Snake is looking through his binoculars, you can hold R1 when the button shows to see what he's looking at.

They also did that in a jokingly way. When you first meet Eva, she unzips her suit halfway and you can see her bra. Every so often, you could hold R1, and Snake would be staring at it for like 2 minutes. :D

There's one more mode they decided to shove in the game, it's called Snake vs. Monkey. It's Ape Escape...in MGS3 levels...as Snake. It's pretty weird.

Anyways, fun game, good story, shotgun fun. Anyone played?

Yea, I think the game is very awesome. I love how Kojima makes it so different from any other game. ther are things in that game that you can do that no other developer would ever think of. Like the classic 'Cardboard box' trick. What I also like about it is that it has a very good story and its not one of those "oh no, bad guys, lets get 'em" kind of story either.

Shit, The Sorrow is friggin' scary. If you get hit by one of his little blasts, you get a screamer-type picture and take some damage. It's really weird.

And all the dead guys are yelling "AHHH!!! My neck! It feels like it's gonna fall off!" But that's only because I slit most of their throats when they were alive. :D
